Post by Jungleprince_55 »

I was just wondering because i have never had any problems with ordering regular DVDs before, but i have never ordered any OOP disney DVDs out of fear that i might have paid a lot of money only to recieve a pirate copy
but i was just looking today on amazon and i found the little mermaid for 16.00 and i couldn't resist the price and i ordered it.

If it seems too good to be true, it is. I suspect the DVD will play fine, but there's no way anyone with a legitimate copy and some common sense would sell it for just $16. There are so many copies selling out there that a majority of them are bootlegs, one imagines.

Wait until the October 2006 release of The Little Mermaid: Platinum Edition, the Platinum Edition will have more bonus features and will be cheaper.

*nods* I'd wait on TLM as well. :D

I have had great experience with Amazon.com -- even though the prices for the DVDs are a tad more since they are OOP. I bought my Tarzan copy that way, as well as the Silly Symphonies DVD. Both are not pirated copies. And the SS DVD came with the tin! A lot of people weren't selling the tin with the case.
