If the "Old Yeller" release was one-discer, there would be no space for the "Disneyland" program, and that also could botch the quality of the feature itself. And "Old Yeller" is a classic... it deserves 2-disc treatment!! I thought it was a great DVD!!!
I totally forgot about the Disneyland feature, thanks for reminding me.
And I hope nobody thinks I'm saying that they VD titles should have been 1 discs. I feel quite the opposite - I'm glad they are 2-Discs because it enhances picture quality and extras.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm suprised they were not 1-discs, due to Disney's wanting to cut back on 2-Discs around that time.
It's all right Jack, I understand your point! Well, let's just hope that the January Special Editions sell well. I think "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" did quite well! "Love Bug" wasn't that lucky, but come on, Disney didn't even released the film properly!
perhaps the only reason 20,000 leagues sold better is because it got a promo. albeit it was only on like 2 or 3 titles, but at least it was marketed. none of the other vault stuff has gotten any publicity. i can't fathom how disney thinks they are going to sell these titles well without some kickass advertising.

Personally, I agree with Jack that the Old Yeller extras were definitly short enough to fit on one disc. Not that I mind another disc, but if it's cheaper it's better in my book.
Could Trojan Mouse tell us some of the things that were cut from the Apple Dumpling/Witch Mts. DVDs???
