Disney Channel Vs. Nickelodeon
Don't you peope think that Nick listions to us better then Disney Channel? They have all theses shows like Unfabolus and Zoey 101 and Radio Free Rosco and also Degrossie: The next generation. Thoese shows are kool.So how do you feel?Do you think that they are better then what disney channel has and why is the only good cartoons on Disney Channel is Kim Possible and THe Proud Family? Do you think that Nick cares more about what we think then the Disney Channel?

Do you think that Nickoldeon listens better then DisneyChann
Nick gives us what we want, and when we ask Disney Channel, they don't do anything. why do people say that Disney Channel is for Kids? It is not. It is for Teens and kids in their 6th grade or a little younger too. And I know that most of Disney Channel viewers are girls. And why? And then if so, why does Nick have more of thr same kind of shows with girls thow also has others with a lot of guys in it too? Why can't Disney Channel do that?

I must agree in the sense that you're likely to get more substantial discussion and replies if you pose one or two new threads at a time rather than all at once.Dan05 wrote:Welcome to the UD forums![]()
You might want to slow down on making new topics.
But at least you're posing well thought-out, coherent thread topics, which is more than we can say about some of the invading newbies!

Spounge Bob is So Weird
True, thow I don't like Spounge Bob. It is ok. It just proves my point that people don't care about good animation and story telling any more, Or even about good plots and motives. They just radomly do weird things. thats dumb. Nick has some better live action shows on now better then some of the Disney Channel ones. I wish Disney Channel would bring back the other ones and some good cartoons, and make some new ones. ANd some better shows.

Sunset Girl
Actually, I think a lot of shows and cartoons in the past were were based more on marketing demos and corporate ideas than necessary, and I'm applauding the recent trend of backing a show based on a unique idea from individual creators. It's happening on not only both Disney and Nick, but Cartoon Network as well.
But neither really listens to their fans, they only look at the ratings because of the money involved. Business is business. I think that maybe Cartoon Network fares a little better here in that department, or at least it did back when I still had cable.
I mean, look at what Nick did to Zim! They didn't even realize the cult following they had on their hands! And I know it's been a few years now, but they really butchered Ren & Stimpy. They've taken away some of the favorites of my generation, including Danger Mouse (a british cartoon), You Can't Do That on Television, the Adventures of Pete & Pete, Are You Afraid of the Dark. . .
And you can say similar things about Disney Channel. Unfortunately, we can't freeze time exactly where we want it to. Time and tastes change. Shows get old, and new ones replace them. And as painful as that can be, that's how the world works. Every generation has to go through it; someday these kids will be grown up and lament how they can't turn on Nick for SpongeBob anymore.

Yes, you mentioned that in your previous post.chaychay102royal wrote:To answer DisneyHollywood's question, I barely remember any of the DA shows, so no offense to all of you who adore those shows, I really don't care about them.
Neither channel holds much interest for me, sorry.
I don't have a preference...both studios were good to me when I was a kid.
Salute your shorts, Gummi Bears.
Who's Afriad of the Dark, Duck Tales.

I second that!Little Red Henski wrote: The only thing I want back is Vault Disney. I don't care about the rest of that stuff.
Some of the Disney Channel/Nickelodeon shows (both old school and current) were great, but looking at them now, makes me wonder why I was so enthralled with shows like Clarissa (Nick), Kids Inc (Disney, though it was only AIRED on Disney Channel, as it was a non-Disney show), and a few of the cartoons from both (though Doug will always rock, be it Nick's or Disney's).

Nick (UK) have some great series on atm, Fairly odd parents, all grown up, jimmy neutron and who can forget spongebob?
But then switch over to Disney Channel and alll that i find watchable are Recess (i like recess, but they play it so much i've seen all the episodes and they dont make new ones anymore). Kim Possible, Lilo and Stitch and Tarzan.
The new ones are awful imo, Dave The Barbarian only lasted afew months here and they dont show it at all anymore (which is good as it was dreadful). American Dragon is just well....awful.
I wish Disney would come up with something good and entertaining. Perhaps the guys that created Recess could come up with a good new series....lets hope.

hiiiii
I liked the old Disney Channel and Nickelodeon (going back to the 80s and early 90s, here). There was Are You Araid of the Dark?, Salut Your Shorts, Danger Mouse, Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, Gargoyles, Gummi Bears, David the Gnome..
I can't remember which station My Little Pony aired on...
The only shows I enjoy watching on today's networks are The Fairly OddParents and Spongebob Squarepants.
