Hmmmm I dont think I have ever read the books Chronicles of Narnia so I didnt have to to much intreast in the movie, howevere these pcitures have defintley caught my attention they really area big tease and bring up like a zillion questions in my head. I want to see more

Lol, but for now I guess I'll be making a trip to my local liebrary.

I haven't read any of the books besides just this one (The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe). I had to read it in the fifth grade. I had completely forgetten about it until now. I didn't like it then, but now that I am starting to remember what happens in it as well as finding out it's Christian overtone makes it more exciting in my opinion.

I'm a bit unsure if I'm allowed to post this considering it's a bootleg, but it's too delicious for me not to share. If this is deemed inappropriate, then mods can feel free to delete this thread. Someone managed to film the upcoming teaser trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia, and let me just say that I'm *completely* blown away. Even in so-so quality, the cinematography looks gorgeous, and the score gives me chills (I hope it's original and not derived from elsewhere). My favorite shot in the trailer has to be the low shot of the mermaids diving into the river as the camera pans upward towards Cair Paravel. My fears of this looking too much like Lord of the Rings have subsided. It's far more colorful (though not childish). I also like the reference to Jesus' "In My Father's house, there are many rooms." It's good to know that even in the publicity campaign, Disney's embracing the Christian basis of the story (I hear they'll be test screening it at several churches ala The Passion). I'm so torn! I REALLY want to see this, but should I wait for the Star Wars opening to see it for the first time in full quality? I've been anxiously awaiting that.

I really recommend you to read the books, they're gorgeus although they're more aimed for kids, but I loved them when I read them the first time years ago. I'm always a little sceptic about these movies based on books because it's quite often happening so that the movie leaves a lot of big parts away, but that's something you have to do when you make movie based on a book. But read the books and I'm sure the movie feels a lot better then.

A question for you who know this. Is this based on the whole serie or is it just the first books and there'll be sequels coming, or? I haven't really read anything about this movie so I don't know.

If you're anxiously awaiting to see the trailer in quality, I recommend you wait for Star Wars, or for another site, perhaps the official one, to come up with a high quality trailer, cause the quality did kinda stink

I love the trailer (I was also blown away), but I have a little point of critism:

I think some people (and especially young people) will inevitably compare this movie to the Lord of the Rings movies. Why do I dig this up? Well... The shots in the war scenes looked very bright and this will probably have a negative impact on those that will compare this to Lord of the Rings. In LOTR the war scenes are dark shaded (and that's how it should be IMO). I could be wrong, but there's a big chance for this to be a negative point...

Other than that, I'm VERY excited

This is just THE 1st book (and arguably the most famous of the 8 of 'em). No word (that I've heard of) on sequels.

Oh, it's based on that, well good then! I love the first book (is it really the first when there's the one which tells about the old man who get's to Narnia with that girl a long time before the other children. I remember it having somekind of rings in it, but I'm not sure. I've always thought this was the first one).

VERY likely it will be a trilogy at least. Being fantasy is huge now and this movie will appeal to kids of both genders, as well as parents, fantasy buffs, Narnia buffs, and Christians. This movie will easily be a box office smash. There is no doubt in my mind the first 3 books will at least be made. And how they are titling it.

Chronicles of Narnia:The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. If they were planning one movie, there would be no subtitle. Like Pirates of the Caribbean was just that. POTC. Then near the end of production, Disney KNEW it would be a smash hit, so they added, "Curse of the Black Pearl". Many writers and producers add subtitles so the next book/movie can easily be identified

That look flipp'n amzing!!! So that's what a bootleg film looks like. It'll probably be just as good if not better than POTC. I can't wait until the sequel of POTC comes out anyways. But this is really exciting and just like everyone else I can't wait until it comes out!!!

No. That's the 6th book...which is a prequel to the series, and thanks to revisionist history, they MADE it the 1st book. So, it's the first book chronologically, but it was not the 1st one written.
