I'm not to excited about Cinderella but I should've bought the Gift Set for Aladdin because it's really one of my favorite movies. They should make a Gift Set for Mulan !

Platinum Edition itself should be plenty - sometimes too much is too much.

I just want to own the movie on dvd, since I only have a vhs copy. So I'll be happy just owning the regular dvd release.

in another thread, Disneykid said..
We don't have to guess. It's been confirmed that the set will contain some character sketches, a book, and a film cell. There aren't any pictures, yet, though.

I will definetly buy the Normal Platinum Edition of Cinderella. I dont think I would ever look at the Gift Set stuff and it would just be collecting dust on my shelf (although I do think they look really cool!). I might buy the Gift Set, though, if I see it for cheap.

Why would anyone need to buy both? The Platinum DVD -- slipcover and all -- is included in the gift set EXACTLY as it is if purchased seperately, shrinkwrap and all. So, buying the gift set would GIVE you the Platinum, no need to buy that seperately.

Suprisingly some people do buy both. In fact, some even buy two copies of both. Why? I dunno. It still puzzles me.

Exactly for this reason: To make money when those titles go OOP! You see people paying TWICE (or even three times) as much for the Ultimate Toy Box!

Those people are smart. If you gots the money, get it.
I, however, prefer to spend the money on my girl essentials!
So, a single gift set is alright for us! :D

I've pre-ordered the gift set but knowing me I'll put that away and buy the normal platinum edition to actually watch. I'm greedy like that!
