I'm 20, from England, and my all-time favourite Disney film is Beauty and the Beast. I also, as my username suggests, love Winnie-the-Pooh.
The first Disney film I saw at the cinema was Pocahontas, purely because I rarely went to the cinema at all, but I had the classics on video from when I was tiny.
I most recently saw The Hunchback of Notre Dame for the first time. I really enjoyed it and think Frollo is one of the most realistic villains I have seen in a Disney animation. Loved it.

Hi RJKD23 and Dan05, thanks for the Welcome!
I do love Winnie the Pooh and am currently trying to get ahold of The Many Adventures on DVD. As I'm a uni student with no money this is more difficult than it sounds, especially since I don't want one that comes from Asia.
Frollo really grabbed me as a villain because he thought he was doing the right thing... he seemed very true to history, and there are still people like that today. He isn't a fairy-tale baddie like Maleficent (though she was magnificent).
I've been plowing my way through the Disney films and sequals, and am quite impressed with most of them (although the less said about Cinderella II the better!)
I look forward to sharing my love of Disney with those who will not sneer because I am no longer 8 years old.

Hi oh_bother and welcome to the forums!
It's nice to see another Brit around here! Soon there'll be enough of us to rise up against these cursed Americans and reclaim the colonies!
And if you're looking for Winnie the Pooh as cheap as possible here is the cheapest.

Ooh, I just noticed I've been promoted from Newbie to Member. How did that happen? How exciting!
Does anyone know if Pooh's TV series "The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" will be released in one DVD boxset? Or is it all out in the "Volume 1, 2, 3 etc. and I'll have to get it episode by episode?
Also, any idea when the Huffalump Movie is released in the UK?
I'm full of questions this afternoon

Well i doubt the Pooh series will be released as a full set yet because 1. they probably wouldn't have the single volumes and the box set out at the same time, and 2. That would be a really good idea, and something you will learn by spending time on this forum is that Disney don't do good ideas!oh_bother wrote:Ooh, I just noticed I've been promoted from Newbie to Member. Also a date for Pooh's heffalump movie has not been set yet, but I would hazard a guess at somewhere between July-September.

Welcome to UD forums Djazzie and oh_brother. And incase you're wondering how you get those avatars,or pictures, well you have to post 50 posts or more. Than when you post 50 posts you go to profile and you'll see a bunch of avatars you can use. I just wanted to say that to any newbies incase they get confused(like me when I joined).
Anyways Welcome!

my story
Hey, my name is Glen, im 24 and from Miami, Florida. I have been into Disney films since i was a little child. The 1st movie i saw in the theaters was, i believe, Lady and the Tramp when it was re-released in the 1980s. Then it had to have been Bambi, Oliver and Company, The Fox and The Hound, and the Rescuers Down Under. I also remember having videos for Sleeping Beauty, Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, Winnie The Pooh, and Robin Hood. My mother started collecting all the Disney Movies on VHS, and by my freshman year in college we had Every last one! The reason it took so long was because some titles like The Black Cauldron had not been released until the late 90's. I also grew up on the TV Shows Gummi Bears, Ducktales, Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers, Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Bonkers, and Goof Troop. And, as a very young child, we watched Magical World of Disney every Sunday and my dad would tape it for us. So Disney really played a big part in my life and who I am today. Right now I am collecting the DVDs, so far I have all the Platinum Editions, Alice in Wonderland ME, Lion King 1 1/2 and 2, Atlantis CE, Brother Bear, Sleeping Beauty SE, Mulan SE, Mary Poppins SE, Treasure Planet, Home on the Range, Emperor's New Groove CE, Fantasia, Fantasia 2000, Lilo and Stitch, Black Cauldron, Sword in the Stone, Oliver and Company, Bugs Life, Finding Nemo, and the Incredibles.
If or When they release Special Editions of both Fantasias, Lilo & Stitch, Oliver and Company, Sword in the Stone, Balck Cauldron, I will buy them and just give the ones I already own to my sister.
I am waiting for Ducktales the Movie SE, Goofy Movie SE, Hurcules, and Hunchback of Notre Dam, i hope they come out soon!!!!
Lastly, Im trying to find the Tarzan CE, i hope I win my bid on Ebay!

I'm Rob... I'm 17. Watched Disney movies and cartoons a lot as a kid. Still watch them quite a bit... well except for the cartoons. Don't get to see any Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, Gummi Bears, etc. as I used to except for the few episodes I have on tape. Yeah guess my favorite movie is Aladdin... also like Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid and lots of others.
