Wait a sec, your avatar and siggy both honor the Pope but your favorite book is written by the same dude who wrote "The Da Vinci Code" which is anti-Christian and anti-Catholic?

Well I can see why betorh likes Angles and Demonds because most of it is about Vatican City, and Conclave.

Someone writes one book that riles up religious types (unjustifiably, might I add), and you crucify the guy for everything he's ever done? Wow.

 I agree with Dave here. Yes, let's not JUDGE someone for one deed. I'm not Christian, but I do agree with their idea of not passing judgement. Be it on the author or the reader. So what if he likes the book? I think this topic was meant to be FUN, not turn into a religious zealot debate. I'm not Christian, but hey, the Bible makes for a good read. No reason to specifically target someone and ask questions they really don't have to answer to.

I wasn't judging him and I wasn't trying to have a big religious debate, either. I was simply asking a question because his answer slightly confused me. I'm SORRY!

Has anyone read Ha Jin? If not, shame on everyone! He's probably one of America's best writers. He won the National Book Award for Waiting. He has also been a Pulitzer Prize finalist for fiction twice, once for Waiting, and a second time for War Trash.

I haven't. I've never heard of him.
