They sent me the WRONG movie!

Post by goofy108 »

Has this ever happend to anyone? I had to order the movies over the phone (because that is the ONLY way you can order a movie and use Disney Dollars) and I asked for The Rescuers. Well when they sent me the confirmation e-mail it said The Rescuers Down Under. What am I suppossed to do now? I already have that movie! :x

Actually, this is my last movie that I need to fufill my agreement or whatever. And to tell you the truth, Im so glad. I mean this sounds like a great deal but its actually a real hassle. You have to order the movies and keep up with how many you still need. You have to keep canceling the feature titles and its not even that great of a deal. 8 DVDs for about $110 is not that great. You can get new releases for $15 on their first week out and even some older ones are cheap at Wal-Mart. What a rip-off. NEVER AGAIN!!

Sorry Goofy :(

I'd say call back and tell them that they got the wrong movie and that you don't want to be charged for shipping it back or anything and you want the correct one shipped NOW.

I did the 4 free w/ 1 at 15 (counts toward 5) and 1 at 10 (doesn't count) so it ended up being an average of a little less than $12 a DVD. A deal but I know what you mean about the hassle. I'm planning on ordering my other four in sets of two so I can get it over with soon. I know what you mean about it being a hassle- I'm just afraid that this is going to happen to me (send the wrong one or send me a featured title I didn't want). Once I'm done I'm DONE! :)

Goodluck!!!

Hey

Hey Minnieme, it is downright rude to say "I want it shipped NOW." Just kindly say, "you sent me the wrong movie, I know that you are very busy at your place of work, but I would like to get the right movie, so please tell me how I can go about getting this situation solved." Simple, sweet, and more people will listen to you.

Thanks Minnie, I think I will call them back.

Guru, I kinda agree with Minnie. I mean your way is probably the right way or at least the most civil. But they screwed up my order. They need to guarantee my satisfaction! Although, demanding that they ship it immediately probably wont make them move faster.

Umm I was kind of being facetious. But whatever.

I'll keep my mouth shut from now on, thanks for the tip though, Disney Guru. I'll really keep that in mind next time. Always great to have nice people like you keeping me in check when I post my opinion, even a facetious one.

I work part time in retail and not only do I like to be treated fairly if I make a mistake, I can understand when people get angry and I will do anything in my power to fix it and make them feel better about what happened. Guess most people don't think like that.

Wow! Thats actual Disney bills. What I meant though was I have this thing with my Disney Visa Card that if I spend $100 on it then Disney gives me $1 on this little Gift Card-like thing that I can spend at Disney stores or any Disney selling place. I just call them Disney Dollars. Apparently Ive been wrong. Oops!

I think you'll find that Guru was somewhat joking too. Please don't keep your mouth shut from now on!
