Disney Vault Collection Question
Someone mentioned in another thread they discontinued the Disney Vault Collection, does that mean we will no longer be able to buy the DVD's that were in it?

I think it's just a name. I recently bought both The Parent Trap and Pollyanna and they're part of the Vault Disney Collection. I have also seen up here both Old Yeller and Swiss Family Robinson.

The name was discontinued. The line went on with <i>The Love Bug</i> and <i>20,000 Leagues</i> billed simply as "Special Editions." Then in 2003, <i>The Apple Dumpling Gang</i> and the two theatrical <i>Witch Mountain</i> movies were pared down single-disc releases in the same vein. The DVDs themselves are all in print. I bought The Parent Trap for $15.87 Canadian and Pollyanna for $16.99 Canadian.MinnieMe wrote:DMC still carries it (for far too much IMO) so I doubt that it's discontinued. I agree, I think it's just in the name. I got the 4 pack off overstock not too long ago. Each set has two discs and a ton of extras on it. I watched both discs of Pollyanna recently and they were great

Well, you get a bunch of freebies from the DMC to begin with, so it pretty much evens out or works to your advantage, particularly if you're getting lots of titles that aren't going to be heavily discounted in retailers.PMcOuntry wrote:I did notice DMC has pretty high prices, compared to many on-line DVD retailers who carry the same ones for $13 compared to $21.

Re- DMC: Yeah, I figured it all out and with the offer for four freebies (not sure if it's still good) it comes out to $11.80 or something per DVD (as long as you order at least two at once to save on shipping for your last four). Otherwise it's like $12 something each. Great deal IMO.
I got the Vault Disney Collection 4 pack for $45.53 free shipping. Evens out to about $11.38 per DVD. Great deal.

Hi
What I mean, is that they arn't adding any more titles to the Vault Disney Collection, the ones that were released are still in print, but they arn't adding anymore to the collection.
