Most of my DVD's are blind buys, beause instead of going to the theater and paying $9.50 to see a movie once, I can wait till it comes out and get it for only like $5-$10 more. However, I must say that I only buy movies that have received good reviews or that I really want. If it is a movie that I am up in the air on I will ask a friend if they've seen it or I will rent it.

Going to the movies is expensive. Recently I bought two DVDs at Wal-Mart at $6.88 Canadian each and that's a little over $13 and both are good movies.

The last time I did a blind buy was when I bought Men In Black II, that movie wasn't as good as the first and I was really disappointed in it. That's the last time I do blind buys. That and I'm poor so I can't buy a whole lot of DVD's anyways.

For live action releases, I have always seen the movie before either at the theatre or through rental.

For animated releases, however, and in particular Disney movies, I sometimes do blind buys.

Yeah Walmart is great for picking up DVD's at cheap prices.

I can't see spending $20 (not including popcorn, drinks, candy, etc, etc) to go out and see a movie with my girlfriend when I can go out and purchase a movie on DVD that I can watch over and over again, not to mention it is going to be filled with all of the extra features that you're not going to be able to see at the theater.

I seem to be a member of the majority here. I don't usually do a Blind Buy unless the movie has come highly recommended. I go the theater two or three times a week, but being a senior citizen, that's only $5 a pop and here in Kansas they give seniors a medium popcorn and a small drink with their ticket purchase, so my snack bar purchases are very limited.

If I see a movie in the theater more than once, chances are it will be in the collection when it is released. Rarely do I buy previously viewed DVD's at Hollywood or Blockbuster, but when I do, it usually is because I changed my mind and decided I wanted the movie rather than skip over it.

Mostly I buy movies/TV shows that I've seen and know I like....Occasionally,I'll make a "blind buy" if it's something that looks really good(and I'm usually right with my choices),but I don't do it that often....

Generally I shoplift as often as possible. Buying is just too much of a hassle :)

Okay, Okay...I blind buy very rarely, unless its just a film I wanted to see but could not get out during its theatrical run.

Depends on the mood I'm in, I love shoplifting fun fun  Just kidding I never shoplift.

Sometimes I blind buy, but normally I just buy it if I have seen it, and if I like it.

Mostly I have seen the movie before buy it.

But in the case of "the saw"--for e.g.-- It was a blind buy, I only read the desription on the back-side of the movie

I usually would have to see the movie before I decide to buy it. But just recently I just bought Dinosaur which I've never seen before. It was for a great price though.

I usually buy my dvd's in the store with cash or a credit card.

Now it's usually both for me. I bought both Finding Neverland and Ladder 49 as blind buys, mostly because I was sick of my blockbuster never having enough copies to rent.
