Who's gonna watch the new mini-series Revelations?

Post by tomothy81 »

I saw previews for this mini-series in the theaters about a month ago, and thought that it would be interesting. I am a religious person, so it probably has more appeal to me than the average person, although I doubt that it will follow very closely with the book of the Bible that it is named after.

I'm not sure if I am going to watch it or not, because of the amount of homework that I have to do (end of semester and all). I am curious to see how this mini-series turns out.

I've have never seen any previews for it. In fact, if it weren't for www.leftbehind.com 's review on it, I wouldn't even know what it is.

Thanks for the link to the review, after watching most of the first episode I must say that I would have to agree with him.

I am religious which is why I think this looks like it will be mostly crap. However, I'm going to give it shot for two reasons: 1. the reviews compare it to X-Files which I love. and 2. Martin Starr, who played Bill Haverchuck in my favorite show ever Freaks and Geeks, is listed on iMDB as being in it although it does not say what part so it is probably small. But I will watch anything with a F&G alumni in it.
The premier tonight conflicted with Alias, but NBC/Universla is showing it on every channel they own in the next week, so I set the TiVo for either the CNBC or SciFi repeat later this week.

Well, I watched about the first half-hour, because I'm taking a Bible/World Religions class, and right now we're discussing angels, demons, miracles etc...but besides the pretty nun, there was nothing to keep me up past 9:30.

Maybe I'll try again next week (I was in a crappy mood-LOST was a rerun).

I saw it last night and would have liked to see more... but I have a really late class on Wednesday so I won't be watching this anymore, sadly. :/
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

Thanks for the Left Behind link. Going by that alone, it sounds like what I feared it will be. Entertainment is entertainment and from what I'm told by friends who watched it, it's very suspenseful. I just wish they wouldn't try to present it as scriptural (as the website apparently does), or lead people to think that some of these prophecies are actually in the Bible.

Of course I haven't seen any of the show, though I would like to, just to see what it's all about. Plus, it's Bill Pullman!

I was incredibly bored by the first episode. Martin Starr was good though, he played Bill Pullman's student assistant.
