The Frickin' Slipcover Discussion Thread Archive
I asked for the BatB slipcover (and received it)... I guess 1 1/2-2 months ago.Tisoraku wrote:How long ago did you order the Beauty and the Beast slipcover?
I was thinking of finding a copy online and just replace the cover.
Sense I ordered three a couple weeks I was thinking I may have to pick which ones to get, otherwise I would need Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Lion King II and Aladdan slipcovers.
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.
It sure as heck does, and you should be able to get a B&B slipcover if you ask them nicelyPMcOuntry wrote:I wonder if I'll be able to get a slipcover for Beauty and the Beast?
I'd also like to point out that... Mary Poppins 40th Anniversary DOES have a slipcover!
Cheers!

I'm waiting for it to arrive to see if it has one or not before I call. I need to get one for Nemo and a replacment for Mary Poppins (I mentioned it because it wasn't on the list) and I think there was one other I have that did come w/a slipcover... oh Brother Bear but it never had one, so that doesn't count.
What about sleeves (I'm not sure that its the technical name for them, you know the paper artwork that wraps the DVD case?) and inserts? Will Disney send you out new ones?
I bought Finding Nemo used at Blockbuster, and the sleeve is all messed up, and it didn't have the insert, so I want to see if I can get a new sleeve and insert and then replace the case with a new one.

Do we really need to ask questions about or provide answers about slipcovers on certain titles...when the entire list in the very first post is up-to-date? Amazingly enough, this thread has over 5000 views. I can understand and appreciate the collectibility of DVDs (and their packaging is a part of that), but it saddens me to think that a thread questioning aspect ratios on Disney's catalogue DVDs would get but a fraction of that interest.

Actually, it does list Mary Poppins. And one can assume anything NOT listed there doesn't have a slipcover. It's much simpler to exclude slipcoverless DVDs than to make a separate list for all the ones that don't. As far as I can see, Jake's first post is entirely up-to-date and not overlooking any that had slipcovers upon initial release.PMcOuntry wrote:Ah, but it is not up to date, it doesn't mention Mary Poppins having a slipcover... sorry, being difficult, I know. It also doesn't mention the fact that Monsters Inc. did not have a slipcover.

I would think they the do..since it's a forum. but no.
no one even searches first.

maybe you should lock the thread and delete all posts on this thread so members can just focus on the first post that lists the DVDs with slipcovers.

you mean the DVD cover art?tomothy81 wrote:What about sleeves (I'm not sure that its the technical name for them, you know the paper artwork that wraps the DVD case?) and inserts? Will Disney send you out new ones?

I think they can also replace that; (I know though that when you replace discs, you have to send the WHOLE DVD to them + the $6.95 fee, so they should at least have something the replaces defected DVD cover art.

They can, for sure (believe me, they send me 2 by mistake). They'll even send you the DVD hard case if you ask.tomothy81 wrote:What about sleeves (I'm not sure that its the technical name for them, you know the paper artwork that wraps the DVD case?) and inserts? Will Disney send you out new ones?

So I can just call up there and ask them for the DVD case, and the DVD cover art, the inserts, and the slipcover, and they'll send it all?

Hi
Monsters Inc. did have a slipcover. My brother has it and it has a slip cover, I believe.

Must have been a promotional thing? or one of those "for a limited time" things Disney does.

Disney Guru, is it glossy and shiny?
