The Shawshank Redemption is one of my favorite movies. Did they offer it as one of the enrollment titles?MadonnasManOne wrote:I ordered The Shawshank Redemption: 10th Anniversary Edition 2-Disc set, through my membership in Columbia House. It came this last weekend!
The best part? It was completely free!

Yes I do.Wonderlicious wrote:Do you get to keep your review discs, Loomis? I always wondered that...
The only one they wouldn't let me keep was the original Star Wars film, but I would have bought the boxset in a heartbeat anyway.
The occasional company will ask for something popular back - Alias Boxsets, Lemony Snickett - but I've been really lucky. Aside from that one disc, I've been able to keep all of the discs I've reviewed - which is close to 100 by now, if not more.

Well, yesterday I got Flintstones S3 (US), Best of the New Scooby Doo Movies (US), Orgasmo SE (US) and The Lone Gunmen Complete Series (US).
Today I got the French Tarzan SE. Once again it comes in a slipcase with different artwork to the actual cover. Well done Disney France!

I absolutely LOVE The Shawshank Redemption. Morgan Freeman is top notch in this movie!tomothy81 wrote:The Shawshank Redemption is one of my favorite movies. I do not know if it is available as an enrollment title, or not. I've been a member for several years, and I got a free movie for ordering one movie at regular price. Plus, when I ordered one at regular price, and one free, I could take a third movie at half price. Not a bad deal. Altogether I paid $29.96 (w/ free shipping) for three movies. In the deal I got Shrek 2, Terminator 3 2-Disc set, and The Shawshank Redemption. The first two movies I got some time ago, but I couldn't decide on my free movie, so they gave me a raincheck to order it, later. As I was browsing through my DVD collection, I realized I had never added this wonderful movie to my collection, and I ordered it right away!

Well I do like Platoon, and its on Amazon for like $15.00, including tax and S&H. I think I will, thanks for your opinion.MickeyMouseboy wrote:I own that DVD! Was this a deal that they were running? If so I wish I had seen it, I still have to fulfill my agreement with them. I think I have 3 more movies to buy, but this is my second time as a member with them. I think that they are the best movie club out there.MadonnasManOne wrote:I absolutely LOVE The Shawshank Redemption. No, it wasn't part of a deal they were running via the Club magazine, or the website. Rather, I had to call because, somehow, my membership got cancelled in their system. I called, and they fixed the problem, and then told me about this deal. Apparently, it was a deal they were offering via the phone number that I dialed. It was a good deal, so I took them up on it.tomothy81 wrote:Was this a deal that they were running? If so I wish I had seen it, I still have to fulfill my agreement with them. The next Fun Cash cash-in is coming towards the end of April. I have enough to get a free movie, so I'm going to cash in my Fun Cash, then cancel my current membership, and start all over again. They really are a great club!
