I hadn't actually thought of that, but I think it would be a great set if it didn't double up too much on the others.goof ball wrote:My Treasures whish list would include:

A great 'audio only' supplement could be stuff from the 'Magic Behind the Music' CD/Book set that came out a few years back....

According to the Disney Archives Plutopia and Pluto´s Party is considered Mickey Mouse cartoons, but Plutopia is also sometimes counted into the complete Pluto - so it can be that we will have this on both sets.
But Pluto´s Party is definately a Mickey Mouse, since it´s made in 1952 and the last Pluto cartoon (Cold Turkey) was made in 1951.
I wouldnt really care about a music based release, I think the Treasures should stick to their classic format of vintage material, however they could always include the 2 video compilations "Golden Oldies" and "Rock Rhythym & Blues" if that were ever to be released... which it won't.
I really hope Disney does not turn the Treasures into another Vault Disney line though, I really don't want to see any Zorro or live-action television series released under this brand, they could easily put that stuff out independantly and it would sell a lot better since it's appeal is very limited and the Treasure sets are aimed at a seperate audience.
I understand why Dave Crockett was released and I am very happy that it was however that should be acknowledged in a totally different context as Davy Crockett was as much symbolic of the Walt Disney company during his era as any of the classic characters. Davy Crockett became a wide-known pop culture icon and for that reason, the legacy of those television shows lives on today, even amongst those of us who were not around to witness that generation. Zorro however, is not the same. I personally do not care about that series in the least and while Im sure some want that released very much, it would definitely be the worst selling Treasure set by far and would be a huge dissapointment in light of all the possibilities that can eventually be released, since this is a limited line which is only available once a year...
True Life Adventures and original television broadcasts are fine, I love the idea of owning rare Walt Disney footage however they should release whatever older tv series seperately under a different branding than the Treasures set as they are not considered classics and do not fit into context with the rest of the Treasure releases.

you know, more and more I am looking forward to the TomorrowLand set. It looks very interesting. My first pick, though, is Frontlines, then MMILC2, then Donald, then Tomorrowland. My parents better pull through on this one....otherwise I am up a creek.

Actually, I am starting to agree with you. It was the one I was looking least forward to, but now I really dig the Disneyland episode format (a la BTS Treasures...). Still, I think Frontlines is still my own front-runner...poco wrote:you know, more and more I am looking forward to the TomorrowLand set. It looks very interesting.
