Top-Selling DVDs of 2005, Thus Far
Top-Selling DVDs of 2005, Thus Far
Through 3/26/05, from The Hollywood Reporter:
1) The Incredibles
2) Shark Tale
3) Ray
4) Bambi
5) Troy
6) The Notebook
7)
8)
9) Ladder 49
10) Napoleon Dynamite
Well, there are blanks to be filled in at 7 and 8. (I filled in 2, 3, and 5.) The point to take from this: Pixar has ousted DreamWorks. Yay! The world is a good place.

Well, yes. I forgot the "yet again".lord-of-sith wrote:Actually, I think Pixar ousted Dream Works when the wonderful The Incredibles beat the biggest blockbuster and nowhere near as good DreamWorks movie Shrek 2 in the animated oscar race.

From the Forum FAQ Page (and this part wasn't written by me):
What are Smileys?
Smileys, or Emoticons, are small graphical images which can be used to express some feeling using a short code, e.g.means happy,
means sad. The full list of emoticons can be seen via the posting form. Try not to overuse smileys, though, as they can quickly render a post unreadable and a moderator may decide to edit them out or remove the post altogether.

I think that Shark Tale sold well, because DreamWorks provided much financial incentive for the consumer to buy it... For example, when Shark Tale first came out on DVD, my local Sunday newspaper had a $3.00 off coupon in it. Couple that and the $14.99 price on Tuesday through Saturday at Circuit City, the DVD cost me only $11.99 + tax.DisneyFan 2000 wrote:More people would choose to buy Shark Tale, over Bambi? People really can't sence a good movie!
I, personally, thought that the film was very derivative of A Bug's Life, and I was disappointed with it.

I actually haven't seen Shark Tale but from what I saw from the previews, it looked kinda stupid to me. But seeing how I never seen it, I shouldn't judge it by the way it looks. But I'm sure that Bambi is 100X better!!!
