I am a child of the 80s so I had Strawberry Shortcake, smurfs, cabbage patch kids, Rainbow Brite, and Care Bears. I loved the Care Bears when I was growing up. They came out again about 2 years ago and I went out and bought like 5 or 6 of them. I just love 'em!

Oh when I was younger I actually had a few toys I was extremley attatched to. One was this stuff animal baby Mickey. I carried him everywhere with me, I also with through the same faze with a Raggdiy Ann (ugh spelling is off), a new born looking baby doll that I took everywhere with and pretended to play mom with I bought her clothes and a baby stroller. And I had a big attatchment to my Cabbage Patch Dolls. Okay but I am pretty sure thats about it.
Nice topic.

As a child of the 80s, my favorite were the CareBears!
more specifically, a gray carebear. or was she purple? I forgot what it was called..but she had the red heart "CareBear" thing on her!
and I had a pink teddy bear which I always brough with me to my baby sitter.
and I always had a My Little Pony whenever we went to church (when I was younger) because (my mom says) I didn't like holding the hands of "strangers" so I used the pony as an excuse.
and then we moved, and now they're gone.

Also a child of the late 70s/80s, I naturally had a bunch of Star Wars toys, which are still my favourite toys
LEGO was a big deal for me too.
I was also into Voltron at the time, and I had all the lions to form Voltron, and a childhood trip to Hong Kong yielded the big castle dirt cheap.
But being a comic collector now, I still buy the odd Green Arrow-related or Star Wars action figure

Although I do have quite a few McDonald toys. I'd always want to go there just to get a toy.

My absolute favourite had to be LEGO. I still have tons and tons of it stored in 4 giant plastic containers; some built into sets and others not. Mostly I collected the space sets (Space Police, Ice Planet [have every set of this], etc.) and the castle stuff (Dragon Masters).
I also liked Transformers action figures, Thundercats (had that massive base) stuff, Darkwing Duck figures, and Ghostbusters toys.
