Well. Of course I'm serious. So, why don't you go ask her now? All right?

Even if this adult is 26, as you claim, and even if she replies to e-mails saying "Yes, there will be a GMD sequel", that doesn't really mean anything. As far as I can tell, there's no one with that name who's ever written a film for Disney or anyone else. Now while it's entirely conceivable that Disney would select a newcomer's script for a direct-to-video sequel project, there's no reason to suspect that this individual is an authoritative source.

I do hope that your future posts offer more substance. Everything you've said in this thread could be condensed to one post and you'd still just leave everyone with a lot of questions.

The "I have a friend and inside information" has been done in the past, and we've heard from Elijah Wood's "friend" for instance. Now I'm not saying what you're passing along isn't true (and one is less likely to concoct fake information about a Great Mouse Detective sequel). But you're going to have to do a lot better to convince us.

Clearly my post was entirely lost on you. I'm wholeheartedly encouraging you to participate in a more purposeful way in the future.

I suppose this thread can stay open to allow you an opportunity to do that.

I don't think he did... unless that's sarcasm.

Teede, don't argue with Luke!
that's a no-no! ;)
And we don't like to "wait and see", we need proof.

BTW, "wholeheartedly encouraging " does not mean "I'm sorry."

I think people are getting a bit wound up here! I is noy plausible on so many reasons, which I am sure are all glaringly obvious.

But if The Great Mouse Detective II appears in theatres this year and I am wrong I will punish myself by watching Belle's Magical World 281 times in a row!

zack626, get in the UD chat. I'm gonna say not so nice things to you! :x
just kidding...maybe! ;)

But what I meant from that was..
why would you argue with the Site Admin of UD? (duuuuuhhhhh)
:p

and even if you did argue with him, you'd have so many other UD-ers back him up and criticize you...ya know?

erase your comment, man.
that's not nice especially since someone else won't appreciate it. :headshake:

So what were we talking about? Oh yeah the GMD sequel. I haven't even seen the first so if I watched the sequel, I would have no idea what's going on. And to add to what I said earlier, Disney is just going overboard with these sequels. Give it a rest already, it's getting old. But who am I to judge that sequels are bad or not, I haven't seen any of the recent sequels, but I always hear people complaining about them. Especially classics... ok its been like 6/7 decades and they're just finally making sequels for these movies. Come on!!! And I'm not saying that right now all Disney is doing is making sequels, they've come up with some pretty cool stuff recently. For instance, the Incredibles, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Miracle.

Let me just clear something up right now for all of you. Teedee (whose real name is Kylie) is a member who previously invaded the DisneySites forums (as well as several others, including IMDB's). She has autism, and for those who don't know, autistic people tend to stick with something and not let the subject go. In Kylie's case, it's a Great Mouse Detective sequel. The person she keeps referring to is a friend of hers who is a fanfic writer and plans on working for Disney. Unfortunately, Kylie interpreted it as something official, and has gone on a tangent on every conceivable message board known to mankind on this subject. We've gone through a lot with her over at DisneySites and eventually had to ban her after repeatedly telling her to stop spamming the boards with this topic (she made a good 10 threads or so about it). So to sum it up, there's no Great Mouse Detective sequel coming in the forseeable future; this is just someone who's very confused and won't let things go. You've all been warned, now...

Wow :o That's very interesting, thanks for the info. :) I knew there was something a little fishy about this. I sincerly hope she doesn't start spaming here, I hate it so much when people do that. It's just plain rude and annoying.

Thank you for clearing that up, Disneykid. Hopefully this won't become a heat thread.

Oh, I hope that a sequel for The Great Mouse Detective does appear. I'd love to see Ichabod get sent to a mental hospital over the fact that his brain has been poisoned by bad-sequel-syndrome!
