Hi all, I just joined the forum today
My name is Crystal and I'm a 22 year old graduate student. My Disney story started way back... ever since I can remember I've loved Disney. Well, maybe not at first- my first memory (ever, not just of Disney) is of Captain Eo when I was 2 at Epcot. Needless to seeing Michael Jackson in a 3D movie at two years old was pretty scary
After 15 trips to WDW, I love it more every time. My mom grew up on Disney as well- LOVED the Mickey Mouse club and visited Disney back in the 70s when you had to use a ticket for most of the rides.
I grew up on the Disney channel (back when it was GOOD and not full of power rangers and Raven Samone) and disney movies. I loved cartoon shorts, the Gummi bears, and anything about the history of Disney. I stopped going to see Disney movies after the tragedy of Pocahontas so I have not seen any new ones other than Pixar productions. We still have all of the old VHS's but I've just recently (within the last two weeks) begun my DVD collection. The collection started when I saw The Watcher in the Woods at Target- I almost screamed right there on the spot. It was one of my favorite movies of all time (I even have a movie poster of it from the antique shop at MGM) and I had no clue that it had even been released on DVD. Thus began my DVD buying spree. In the past two weeks I've purchased:
Watcher in the Woods (target)
The Disney Vault 4 pack (Pollyanna, Parent Trap, Swiss Fam Rob, Old Yeller) (overstock.com)
Lion King (overstock.com)
Peter Pan (ebay)
Fox & Hound (overstock)
A Far Off Place (overstock)
Disney Treasures: Mickey in color vol 2 (overstock) [really brought me back to my childhood!

]
Dumbo (DMC)
Adv of Winnie the pooh (DMC)
Mary Poppins (DMC)
Finding Nemo (DMC)
Oliver & Company (DMC)
Alice in Wonderland (DMC)
I also have Bambi that I got for Easter, and Aladdin that I suspect is a bootleg that I bought in a flea market (works fine) and Snow White (also possible flea market bootleg and stops working at the dwarves washing up for dinner scene

but I deserve it- I spent $8 on it!)
And I have my eye on Wild Hearts Can't be Broken, Walt, the Man Behind the Myth and both Rescuers movies.
Phew. I applaud you if you've read this whole thing. Sorry it's so long
To make a long story longer, I'm 22 years old and I love all things Disney!
