Disney Scene-It

Post by AwallaceUNC »

I'm putting this in Off-Topic, though I guess it could go in General Discussion, since it is technically a Disney DVD...

Anyone played Disney Scene-It yet? I just did for the first time and it's a LOT of fun. I played with two friends who know their fair share of Disney knowledge, though probably not as much as me. Still, I didn't win until the 3rd of 3 games (we each one once). Another friend watched us play and enjoyed it just as much. Be warned, though, it's not all about how much you know. There's a lot of chance to it, too. Plus, I like the whole idea of combining Disney, DVDs, and board games... how much better can it get?

I wanted to get this for some friends for Christmas but I got them another game because it was sold out. I really want to play this as well as the other Scene it games and like the movies and most definately the television one.

Does Disney have their own Monopoly edtion? I would love to get that if they did since Monopoly is my favourite game. I should do a search... never seen one but there are so many editions now...

Yes, Disney does have a Monopoly Edition and I own one.
It's great sometimes I think the ideas are better then the original Monopoly. You should buy it if you are a Monopolymania!!! :D

I actually accidentally came across the Disney Monopoly version today but it was very pricey. I also saw a original six NHL team edition which was even better! I also saw Monopoly-like games like a Red Green edition... now that's what I really wanted. I never bought any since I really have no one to play with. :P

I love Disney Scene-It. My friends and I play it all the time. On New Years Eve at a party my whole family enjoyed playing this game. It's tons of fun, a great game.

I got it as a late Christmas present and I haven't stoped playing it with my little brother. Seeing scenes from "Bambi" and "Cinderella" really makes it hard to wait for their DVD's to get released. The best part of the game for me is getting to relive some scenes from Disney films I haven't watched in a while. I usually ened up watching one of them afterwards.

Ha, I was about to make a thread on this. I recently played this at a party my friend was having, and I was blown away by it. It's by far the coolest board game I've ever played, Disney or otherwise (I really want to play the original Scene It, too). We played the game three times (once with individual players, twice with teams), and I won each time. This caused my friends (unless they were on my team during the last 2 games) to utterly hate me. :D One touch I really like is how pretty much all of the film clips are presented in their original aspect ratio. The tiebreaker annoys me, though, because it's based on extremely stupid stuff ("the person with the longest hair wins!), so we just decided to abandon that and make our tiebreaker another all play question when needed. I really want to play this game again ASAP and own it myself. I wonder if Disney will create additional DVD's and cards for this game, since from what I read on Amazon, you can go through all of the DVD's questions in about 4 or 5 games.

My friend that owns the game said that it said there was a sequel game coming on her DVD. Also, I know there are refill packs for the original Scene-It game, so perhaps one will come for the Disney version? I hope so, b/c it's sort of pricey to go through so quickly. 4 or 5 games? That kind of sucks.

Disney Scene-It is quite possibly my favorite board game. My favorite challenges were the ones where you played on the DVD. Being a huge Disney fan, I have won every single time I've played this. :D I agree that the tie-breakers are stupid. They don't really have anything to do with Disney, except one that said who was born closer to Disneyland. Overall I recommend the game to any Disney fan!

I have it as well, and absolutely love it. However, I would like to see some really challenging questions added to the pile, sometimes it seems too easy. However, I'm not going to complain, because I have a darned fun time playing it!
Cheers!

While Easter shopping with my friends, I pulled the game off a store shelf and gave them puppy dog eyes. They, in turn, rolled their eyes, saying that no one in their right mind would even attempt to play any type of Disney game against me.

Oddly enough, they opted fot Disney Trivial Pursuit as a way to pass the time during our spring break.

And yeah, I did win.

I still wanna try Scene-It, though. Maybe I can con them into it now that I know familiarity with Disney isn't the most important factor?

Is disney trivial pursuit is nice ? Is there tough question ?
Lilo: David, I got a new dog!
David: Huh? You sure it's a dog?
Lilo: Uh-huh. He used to be a collie before he got run over.

Oh my gosh I love this game. My friend merce bought it last year in the summer during the Hurricanes casue he wantred something to do and since my house had power we played non-stop. It was a blast minus the fact that he could not beat me that kind of sucked. I have yet to meet the friend that can turely play that game with me. :) I hope they have abnother DVD come out with new cards that would be awsome! :D

Disney SceneIT

Post by jwa1107 »

I recently got Disney SceneIT board game for my birthday and we've played it several times. I also noticed that there is a "booster pack" for Disney, but I am confused a bit - is this the same DVD that came with my board game and meant only as a booster to a regular SceneIT game, or a secondary DVD that can "add on" to my Disney SceneIT.
any help is appreciated!

I bought Disney Scene It a couple years back. It's a fun and unique experience but It got tedious, so i only play it once in a while.

That expansion disc sound interesting though.
