About sequels!

Post by goofystitch »

Just to let everybody know, while Rescuers Down Under went to theaters and is considdered one of the animated classics, not all disney animated films that go to theaters are. The way you know is if it was made by the television animators. Duck Tales: Treasure of the Lost Lamp and A Goofy Movie are not animated classics. And Return to Neverland and The Jungle Book 2 aren't either. My guess is Rescuers 3 will be straight to video and even if it does go to theaters, probably won't be considdered a classic.

somehow i dont think that there will be a Rescuers 3 because Eva Gabor is dead and i bet there is noone who can sound like Bianca. somehow of all the sequels, Rescuers Down Under is probably the best because it has both Bob Newhart and Eva Gabor returning as thier roles from the first movie.
also i always wonder what it would be like if Cruella De Vil was actually the villian in The Rescuers.

Who knows, she might be very good with kids... maybe it's just dogs that set her off on a tangent of wickedness...

You might be on to something there...I'm the opposite. Like puppies, hate children. Go figure.
Mind you, I've never tried to make a suit out of kiddies...

I'm sorry, I must have misunderstood.

I thought this was a common hobby.

My bad.

And in all fairness, I didn't say that I was going to MAKE the suits, I was just pitching the idea to...

Nevermind. I'll come in again...

I do not think Disney would care about your concern with the lack of Rescuers merchandise, whatever. This is not to be mean, but it is a simple fact....

However, I think, all who love this movie, or enjoy it, but were appalled with the DVD treatment should definately complain... Call disney/buena vista, as has been shown time and time again it seems, it really does make a difference.... Dvd inserts are back, and the Absent Minded Prof. was corrected....

So go out all, and call, let disney/buena know we/you are displeased with the terrible DVD treatment... :)
Hey PP, when I said merchandise, I didn't mean The Rescuers appearing in Soup cans or anything, I meant Stuffed animals of The Rescuers, Snow Gloves, or figures, even though I know there are Rescuers collectibles, but not many...
