Well as far as the 2nd disc is concerned they are identical to the last time, in fact since nothing new has been added to disc 2, it probably is just a reprint of the existing disc.

It's not a reprint of the existing disc. The music video's are relocated to disc 1, the abandoned scenes are relocated to disc 1, the publicity section has a new gallery, the characters section has new galleries and the Animation section also has new galleries.

Are you sure about the added extras? For me the two editions seem exactly the same. Actually, there is one text-based extra that was on the original edition missing.

Well, if you compare the new release with the old R1 release, there are very few differences (no DVD-ROM; no Dinosaur sneek peak obviously; music videos and deleted scenes on disc 1). But if you compare the new release with the old R2 UK release there are several 'new' extras (audio commentary, games and all galleries).

The R1 release has two text-based extras (History of Production and Original Treatment), which were not on the old R2 UK release and are not on the new release.

So did the original European 2 Disc sets have no galleries?
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

The original 2-Disc was only available in the UK. Not in other countries. And the original UK 2-Disc had no galleries.
