All we know is that it's coming the end of January. I posted info about what's on the deluxe LD, which we can expect to be ported over. They've also probably put together a new featurette and commentary, at least, I hope.

I would say a commentary is a cert, being as they did one for Sleeping Beauty.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

They better put everything from the Deluxe Laserdisc set on this new DVD else I will not be happy!

BTW for another review of the deluxe laserdisc go to www.dvdlaser.com

Yeah, I expect most of the stuff from the laserdisc to be ported over along with commentary and a new featurette. Here's what the laserdisc had:

* Music and Effects-Only Track
* "One Hour in Wonderland" TV Special
* "Operation Wonderland" Promotional Featurette
* Live Action Re-enactment Special with the Cast
* "Alice's Wonderland" 1923 Silent Film
* "Thru the Mirror" Mickey Mouse Short
* Storyboard Gallery
* Concept Art Gallery
* Script Outlines from 1939 and 1943
* Abandoned Sequences Including Alternate Opening
* Walt Disney Tv Intros from 1954 and 1964
* Original 1951 Theatrical Trailer and 1974 Re-Issue Trailer
* Radio Dramatization starring Kathryn Beaumont
* Promotional Radio Show
* Deleted Numbers

All this plus a commentary, "making of" featurette, and perhaps a couple of recent interview clips would make one fantastic drool-worthy Alice DVD. Let's keep our fingers crossed...

One thing they could do is interview Kathryn Beaumont and ask how being a Disney voice actress had affected her life (seeing that she quit voice work around college and went on to become a school teacher)

I think it's a bit early to be getting info on it... I understand that excitement can be overwhelming, but I like to, for the most part, be surprised at the stuff included, cause knowing what will be on the disc will not get it into my hands any quicker...

but that's just me :)

All I need to know, is that it is worth the price I'm paying, and that they put together the best set they possibly could.

I hope it includes something about hedgehogs. :D

Seriously, I think it will include a lot since they already have the gold edition out. Disney is going to have to outdue themselves on this one.

Well you know very well it's 99.9% impossible for you to roam these boards without discovering DVD specs, so maybe you should stop coming. ;)
