Haunted Mansion trailer!
I just saw it on Entertainment Tonight. Looks good... I don't think this is going to be a comedy, even though Eddie Murphy stars in it. I think he may make a couple of wisecracks, but it looks like it will be more adventure than comedy. The ghosts all were looking cool and they had many of the ones that are featured in the ride, so thats very cool! They showed the ballroom scene, a Doom Buggy possibly flying threw the air, the head in the crystal ball, hitchhikking ghouls and possibly some zombies too. It went by pretty fast but I like what they showed so far. It should be up online pretty soon now that it has been on tv.

after doing some searching online, i found a 5 minute making-of short on this film. it features producer don hahn and a few other crew members. it has NO scenes from the film in it, but a nice sneak peek anyway. follow the link and enjoy...if you're 'dieing' to (

Reminds me of the Treehouse of Terror (First Halloween Special) episode of The Simpsons where they go into a haunted mansion. The music has a good chilling quality that sounds like the Danny Elfman score of Batman Returns. I hope that's the music actually used in the film because studios nowadays (especially Disney) use music from other movies and sometimes music from other studios' movies for their trailers. For example, The Majestic (Warner Brothers) used music from the beatiful score of Little Women (1994, Columbia/Tri-Star) for its thatrical trailer, Pirates of the Carribean's trailer and TV Spot music comes from either The Mask of Zorro or another film. I found the trailer music familiar but I didn't notice it in the film I saw yesterday. The only reason I consider Zorro is because I'm pretty sure I heard the same music in the spot for the CBS premiere of the movie earlier today. And Disney frequently uses music from Father of the Bride (Granted it is Touchstone) to advertise its coming attractions.
What would this wretched world be like without Disney?

Well, from the looks of the trailer there will be some scares there that are a bit more than the average PG movie. And if I recall correctly, Pirtaes of teh Caribbean got its PG-13 in part because of some of the skeleton stuff.Choco Bear wrote:no this more of a family movie , eddie murphy is a familky kinda guy and i think it will be PG
I'd be very surprised if it gets a PG rating.
