Avatar Problem

Post by Prince Phillip »

Luke for some reason, I am not able to use the gallery Avatars. I never had this problem before :? is it because I was using Avatars from another site, or are you just mad at me :( . JK, but seriously, this is quite nerve racking  .

Please Help!

Luke -- I just found one problem:

Philly just uploaded an avatar from geocities and it didn't upload it to the ultimatedisney database like it should...

Do you understand?

If you right click on his icon, it say's geocities... and if you right click mine, it say's something ultimatedisney...... even though I did the "upload your own"...

is it confusing or nay?

Yes, I understand you. He must have chosen "Link to off-site avatar instead of Upload Avatar from a URL." Either that, or the forum's screwy. I'll fix it because as pretty as the red X is, I think the picture will be nicer.

Edit: Okay, it cannot connect to the Geocities URL because Geocities doesn't allow remote linking, so in this case, you'd have to save to your HD and upload it like that. Which is what I've done.

Well, my Aladdin Avatar disappeared again  . And again I couldn't retrieve it. Then I had the problem of not being able to load an Avatar from the gallery, but I eventually copied image location and posted in off site location bar, and wha la, this is what I have now, though don't expect it to last...

(I don't mind Hercules, this was actually the Avatar, I was tying to get before Aladdin, but I want another one. Shame my Aladdin one diddn't work out, I really like it :( )

Any way I'm not mad at you Luke, just my Computer or the internet or whatever is causing this  .

How did it disappear?

If you save it from that Geocities site and then upload it from your hard drive using that option, it should work okay. It won't be able to upload directly from the URL because Geocities sucks.
