Pocahontas: Journey to a New World DVD Question

Post by psifreek27 »

Does anyone know anything about the apparent 2 Disc Special Edition of Pocahontas: JtaNW in Germany?...i was searching amazon.de for overseas covers and when i typed pocahontas , i got a page that also lists a 2 disc edition for JtaNW...i searched as best i could for any info on contents but to no avail...im mostly so bent on knowing because im working on a matching set of custom covers for pocahontas 1 and 2 and would like the best possible version of the sequel. any help would be great!

Why would you want the sequel at all (2 disker or not)? :P

Because i actually love that movie...it's a very formidable sequel, where some never quite measure up (hunchback 2, Jungle book 2, etc.) This and Mulan 2 are my two favorite disney sequels, and for the time when this movie was made it actually has some rather good animation.

If you didnt like the movie why comment?

I haven't heard about this. Infact, this might be the first time this has ever come up. Does anyone know something we don't?

psifreek27, haven't heard of info on Pocahontas 2 being 2-Disc nor have I seen info on the INTERNATIONAL DVD part of the forums. :headshake:

Sorry...:(

[sidenote to DisneyFan 2000: i'd want my favorite movies to be 2-Disc too. ;) but we are entitled to voice our opinions. :)]

Remember, when Jim Hill first got the scoop about the batch of SEs that were due January 27, 2003 (Alice in Wonderland, Pocahontas and Lilo & Stitch; only Alice kept that date without a delay), he got a whole schedule of DVD release news, most of which has panned out. Pocahontas II SE was listed on that schedule for a June 2003 release on the heels of Pocahontas's January release, so some sort of upgrade for Pocahontas II is apparently coming, yeah. Not sure if it'll be 2-disc, but I think they want to clear out the Gold Collection version, at least.
