Just what I was thinking. Celebrate, but just remember it's not etched in stone.Luke wrote:I wouldn't qualify it as 100%. (Remember when there would only be one Platinum a year? Things change.) But it's definitely good to have another place where this is listed. Good find and thanks for sharing!
The Little Mermaid is 100% coming in October 2006....

Let's hope this is true!

I don't think it will have bad extras, it's such a new movie that finding good and suitable material won't be difficult. I think they tried something new with the Lion Kings extras because they had put so many things that it even felt at times that you watched the same extras over and over again in different sections, it was quite complicated..Wonderlicious wrote:Is anyone apart from me worried that The Little Mermaid will have pooey extras? Am I suffering from Likelionkinganxiety-Syndrome?
If you ask me I hope the extras would be much better than the ones in Aladdin, it felt like there was only a couple of things on the dvd. I was disappointed.
Disney DVD's 2005: Bambi PE, Alice in Wonderland SE, Tarzan SE, Cinderella PE - much much more!

I don't know if these are official, but I'm on a little mermaid email mailing list thing where I get lots of Little mermaid email, and these are two recent messages I got!
(note...these were NOT written by me....they were just sent to me in my Ariel email)
If these are true....that's great news to me!!!!!!!
Hello! And thank you!
You are indeed correct about the release date of October 2006 for the Mermaid DVD.
Again, I wish I could show you the ongoing progress (turned another one in to Home Entertainment today), but for legal reasons, Disney would most assuredly come after me! :0)
Fear not! The final ideas they are picking are my favorite ones. They are in being painted by artist Andy Engal right now!
More soon!

Yes!
The Little Mermaid-3 direct to video is currently in development at the Disney Television department, the only department that does traditional animation within the Company now. I'm about to apply there for a third time for work, so we'll see! :0) Three just might "be the charm".
Some of the original T.V. shows were re-packaged along with the other princesses on those princess- stories collection DVDs. Since the shows were put out on VHS tape several years ago (I have 'em, of course!), traditionally Home Entertainment has released entire series before on DVD, so just a matter of time. Hang in!

Could you explain this to me? Or ask the person who told you this what he meant? A new scene? A new song?Mermaid Kelly wrote: Fear not! The final ideas they are picking are my favorite ones. They are in being painted by artist Andy Engal right now!
