incredibles dvd missing a scene?

i saw the incredibles in the theatre and recently watched it on dvd and was wondering if they left a scene out of the dvd. when mr incredible decides to be a superhero again in the beginning, there was a scene where he was trying to fit into his suit and once he did the buckle popped off and broke a light. i remember seeing the scene in a trailer, but i didn't see it on the dvd - yet i'm almost positive i saw it in the theatre. can anyone provide some insight?

That was simply what was created for the theatrical teaser in the spring of 2003, and never intended to be in the movie. Just like the teasers for <i>Toy Story 2</i> or <i>Monsters, Inc.</i>. It wasn't ever in the film.

I know that I saw it in the trailor, but I could swear that I saw it in the movie at the theater as well.

Memories are funny things, aren't they? They very easily play tricks on us. I guarentee that scene was not in the final movie because I was looking for it when I first went to see TI. It was created specifically for the trailer, and is absolutely hillarious

The scene wasn't in the movie. It was trailer-trashed. Which means you see a scene from a movie in a trailer but when you see the actual movie, the scene has been cut.

Not really, because it was never intended to be in the movie. Where would it fit within the context if it was? By the time he got his new suit, he was already slimmed down. It was a way to set up that character quickly, without a lot of work and without any footage from the actual film (which may not have been completed 18 months before release).

well, there was def. a scene in there where he was in his little home office after getting the call about coming to the meeting, and it showed the old newspaper storied on his wall and everything, and his wife calls him for dinner. I thought that it had the whole belt buckle thing, but maybe not, but there is for a scene in there where he is in his home office and it looks like the scene from the trailor.

Yes, there is a scene where he is in his home office and it looks a little like the scene from the trailer. But the scene as you saw it in the trailer was never intended to be in the movie.

I would disagree, you would have had to been an excellent pilot to hit the Pentagon with a 757, hitting the World Trade Centre would not have taken a lot of skill though.

He didn't hit the Pentagon. Even in the "official" report the plane hit the ground sideways and tumbled into the Pentagon . . . and it was going over 500 MPH when it hit the ground.
