Disney stuffed toys

Post by Starion »

Hi, I bought young Nala and Zazu at the Disney Store at the mall today, err, yesterday morning. Instead of paying $32, I paid about $21. Is the Disney Store having a sale or promotion that I'm not aware off :? Why did the cashier take $9 off?

Apparently, I can pre-order The Lion King and recieve a.$10 coupon of some sort. I remember there was a thread about the offer, but I can't find it. I'd appreciate if someone could post some short details and/or the link.

Thanks

They've been running upwards of 50% off a lot of their plushes most of the summer ... and that gift card offer you talked about has been ongoing since the LK pre-orders started. Simply spend $50 and preorder TLK (that $50 can INCLUDE the preorder) and you get a $10 Disney Gift Card.

Ok, thanks for the information. I wasn't aware of a stuffed toy sale.

I forgot the details of the Disney Gift Card.

I found an article talking about the craze behind plush toys:
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=s ... ay/5350207

There's also some information about a Ruben bear based on Ruben from American Idol and the "Legally Blonde dog" plush.

The reason people love plush?

''Plush dolls are a lot like pets,'' Solomon says. ''They're loyal. They're always there. And they help you feel safe.''

He's received letters from adults who lost their favorite stuffed animals -- and are desperate to have them replaced.

''Everyone's looking for love,'' Solomon says. ''Even in plush.''

This thread was: "Disney Store Stuffed Toys sale?"

Check out the some Lion King stuffed animals that Hasbro is making:
http://www.dealtime.com/xCP-Stuffed_Toy ... 2924~DIL-1

Speaking about Hasbro, Hasbro.com lists Disney, Brother Bear and Disney, The Lion King in their product search section. Unfortunately, the pages for Brother Bear and The Lion King don't exist yet.

I actually just got back from the Disney store. I saw the $10 gift card promo, so I figured if I pre-ordered the Lion King box set & SB it would be over $50 and I would get the $10 gift card. Unfortunately, they are not pre-selling the gift box there. Is that true of all the Disney stores? And am I going to be able to but it locally anywhere (Target, BB, etc.)?

Unfortunately that is the case everywhere. The Gift Set is only available for pre-order online. Not sure why this is so, but that's the way it is.

Aww..I clicked this thread to see what DISNEY PLUSHES people collect.. :P

Well, for me..I go to the DISNEY STORE every Friday (or every other Friday) to buy Winnie the Pooh Plushes! My closet's full of him! :) even those big gigantic plushes...

They always have price reductions on plushes for no apparent reason! :D

I'm not a big fan of plush toys, although I do have some nice Disney ones. I much prefer dolls. I've collected many of the Mattel Disney dolls in the past, although more recent additions in the stores are limited to unimaginative reinterpretations of the Disney Princess with lots of cheap glitter and bows.

However, I find Playmates' new Little Princess collection (i.e. the Disney Princesses as toddlers) interesting. I have the Sleeping Beauty one and would like to get the Tinker Bell one eventually.

I like Disney plushes. Adore them, really. Almost all of the ones I have ... are of Stitch. Of course. *Grins.* I have 20 Stitch plushes (of different variations and sizes ... most of them Disney Store releases) and 7 Stitch beanies. And I go to Disney Store often, to check for new ones. I have a few non-Stitch plushes, like some from Brother Bear (Kenai, Koda, and Tuke), as well as Nemo, Mrs. Calloway, Bambi ... but Stitch dominates my collection.

There are many nice plushes, like the one of thumper, Stich, and many many more.
I had thinked to buy a Bambi plushe but I regreted when I saw it. It looks like if the head was stiched the wrong side--or like a Bambi-Exorcist--

I collect Mickey and Minnie plush. I have a whole closet full with about 50 or more, from beanies to huge ones. I do have some non Mickey and Minnie ones that I have gotten really cheap at the Disney Store like bambi/flower, donald, pluto, ect... But I collect mostly Mickey and Minnie stuff.

For those of you who go to the theme parks, do the plushes there have any imprints on them? All of the plushes at The Disney Store have "Disney Store Exclusive" stamped on their foot or on their rear, and it bugs me so much that I won't buy them anymore. I hope the parks still have unblemished plush toys so I can buy them again.
