Unofficial Lion King 1 1/2 German cover?

Post by Starion »

From www.thelionking.de:
Erstes Bild des DVD Covers von Lion King 1 1/2 aufgetaucht. Man erkennt das Disney diese Fortsetzung nicht ganz so ernst nimmt. In Lion King 3 (Hakuna Matata) sollen Timon & Pumba die Story aus Ihrer Sicht erzählen.

Lion King soll verraussichtlich im Februar 2004 als Video-Sequel veröffentlicht werden.

Here's an AltaVista's Babel Fish translation German to English Translation:

First picture of the DVD Covers of Lion King 1 1/2 emerged. One does not recognize the Disney this continuation completely so seriously takes. In Lion King 3 (Hakuna Matata) are to tell Timon & Pumba the Story from your view.

Lion King is to be published verraussichtlich in February 2004 as video Sequel.

I don't know if this is the final art for the DVD.

It's funny but not a real serious or attracting cover!

I concur. Funny for an ad. Pretty dumb for a cover.

As far as cover art goes, that is not very engrossing. A release like this is going to have to draw you in (because to the common customer nothing is really known about the premise of it) and that one definitely does not scream "Pick Me! Pick Me!"

I agree, it is funny and eye catching, but it doesn't shout "pic me!" It screams cuteness and sillyness instead. :)

I think the cover art is a mock-up or early version. Disney will probably release the final cover art in two or three months.

Eh, a cover is a cover....

We'll all buy it anyway (except the sequel-hating amongst us).

I mean, there is not a lot they really could do with a cover is there?

It is what is INSIDE that counts :D :P
