Joing two Disney movies together ?????
Joing two Disney movies together ?????
What if Disney wanted to make a movie where they join 2 different movies together (ex- Lion king meets Bambi). If Disney were to decide that they were going to do that what 2 movies do you think they would collide ?????
-----------------------
Personaly I think it would be cool to do Bambi/Dumbo

Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast. The ultimate chick/princess fight.
No I'm just kidding.
I would hope they would never do that though when the Flintstones met the Jetsons it made for an entertaining movie so maybe they could do something. Though it would have to take some serious creative thinking.

Lion King "meets" Bambi?
you mean another word that rhymes with "meets"

i hope not! (i just said that because of the thread in the Polls&Games section!)
I hope the idea for 2 Disney movies to join into one never goes through.
joining two Disney movies because all Disney movies are different and that would change everything! it's just wrong.

This reminds me of Kingdom Hearts somehow, it was cool to see all the "Princesses/Heroines" together in one place.
And that idea again sucks. It would be chaotic and the art of the movies are completely different, how would Cinderella look in Beauty and the Beast style for example?

Disney DVD's 2005: Bambi PE, Alice in Wonderland SE, Tarzan SE, Cinderella PE - much much more!

It would take a very talented writer, but it could work to get several characters together to battle a massive threat. For instance, a Chernabog/Malificent/Jafar alliance. Then, Merlin could summon the greatest heroes of several movies(Think Aladdin, Mulan, Hercules, and Beast, with a few others). It would be a chaotic movie, of course, and would be hard to pull off, but this is one story that I think has some potential.

I always wanted to see crossovers for certain TV shows and the thought of feature characters meeting each other occasionally crossed my mind.
I was dying for Scrooge and Darkwing cross-over, but that only happened in the comics. It would have been very natural since the two shows existed in the same universe.
I read that they had actually planned on an episode of Darkwing where he and Megavolt get trapped in the Rescue Rangers universe, but they altered it to just a human universe of "weird-nosed freaks." However, you can hear some familiar voices at the end of the episode.
I always used to say, "Where's Ariel when you need her" during the sequence that Aladdin is thrown into the sea, but I wasn't being serious.
I also used to wonder why Belle was visiting Paris in Hunchback, and used to vaguely wonder that if she had stayed longer, would she have thought Quasimodo was a monster like the rest of the poeple? Especially if she hadn't met the Beast yet, LOL. Or maybe that's where she had lived before she moved to the village. No wonder she complained about her poor provencial life, she was used to bigger places! Once again, I'm not really being serious here, LOL.
Cameos seem to work a little better for the theatrical features than actually cross-overs would, I think. I mean, just look at Roger Rabbit!

Wow - you managed to be a Mr Grumpy Pants AND blame Eisner for something in a single post. Excellent!KinOO wrote:My god, plesage forgive those poor unfortunate souls...
that idea is HORRIBLE, it would be so cheap, keep this for videogames or comic books...
Well in fact, i'm sure it will come someday IF Iger is in the same mood as Eisner... Please don't!
I love my crossovers. 2099net's Tarzan/Atlantis one is the most logical, given the time frame it is set in.
However...
Bambi & The Lion King: The two meet in therapy trying to work out "parent issues", and embark on a wacky road adventure. Hilarious consequences.
Seriously, there is so much potential for a great crossover movie, given the great iconic characters Disney have created over the years. I think missing any opportunity to combine them would be madness.

Ugh, don't remind me. I was so excited about that show for this very reason, but it turned out to be one of the worst things disney ever did. The movies were the worst. Everyone was so freaking out of characterDisney's Divinity wrote:It would be okay if it had a REALLY good plot. Sort of like Kingdom Hearts, which pulled it off pretty well. Of course, something like House of Mouse would be a cruel and unusual punishment for all its viewers.
If it was going to be done, the plot would have to be epic and worthy of great characters such as these. Something in the vein of "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", only good.

They were actually talking about that but the plans got cancelled. It sounded like a really cool idea at first, but then I heard that they were going to Americanize the designs of the anime-type characters.Luna wrote:Well,I don't know about combining 2 of Disney's movies, but I think it'd be cool if they made a Kingdom Hearts TV series or movie(those games are really cool)...
So maybe it's just as well that this didn't follow through. Still might have been cool, though. I wonder what Jack Skellington would have looked like in 2-D?
Anyway, I can't wait for KH2!!!
