Why does the French covers are so great and the Us are not, I mean, think about it. It´s supposed than Disney must concentrate also in their very own people.

Just great covers, now I´ll like to be french
EXACTLY! JEEZ LOUISE! Disney is an originally American company, and we get the cheesy cartoony covers, while the French get the beautiful covers. In my perfect world, we would have 2 different DVD sets. One for children- cartoony, cute, with games and fun. Another, for us collectors with loads and loads of special, meaty features with amazing cover art!!

**P.S. I love the French and the French language, if the latter statements made anyone think otherwise! :D

If I've got the point right, French is choosing their cover, and maybe the beautiful covers sell more than childish covers in French? I have to say that I'm a bit jealous too, but I think it's understandable that Americans get more simple and childish covers than they/Europeans do.

Maybe us Region 1 people should revolt against the childish covers so that maybe when the Platinum Editions come around again in Blue-ray they will look elegant and beautiful!!! maybe if enough of us say something the rest of the SE's will be better as well! Maybe at least have the movies come out in two formats. Like Tarzan, Dinosaur, and The Emperor's New Groove in region 1. They had the Collector's Editions and then the regular dvd's.

Those really are beautiful. I think Fantasia Anthology, The Lion King and Peter Pan are the best. :)

there are very nice, i like the peter pan one and the lion king,
but for A Bug's Life, the title is 1001 pattes, and i think i know enough french to see that that is not the direct translation, wat does the title mean?

it means a thousand and one feets which refer to the millipede. In Canadian french the same movie is called une vie de bestiole which litterally means a bug's life .I don't know why that in the same language they pick up different title.
Lilo: David, I got a new dog!
David: Huh? You sure it's a dog?
Lilo: Uh-huh. He used to be a collie before he got run over.

Yeah, they are so cool. Even if Disney had the covers available as downloads or purchase items for retail it'd be cool.

I so love the Beauty and the Beast cover. I think Beauty and the Beast come out on blu-ray around about 2011, if I remember right from one website I visited last year.

I think it comes out already in 2009 when they changed the PE line to "two platinum's" a year. I still suggest everyone to try to find the other one because there's still a long time till the new one.
Disney DVD's 2005: Bambi PE, Alice in Wonderland SE, Tarzan SE, Cinderella PE - much much more!
