Well seeing there are many Pixar fans here, (it is a little off-topic, but, hey) I just saw the McDonalds commercial for the new Disney toys, and they are various Pixar characters from the movies: Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, and of course The Incredibles- to promote the DVD. Just wanted to mention that, because earlier this year there was speculation on whether the toys would be Bambi or Incredibles..

It's a little early for that. I'll keep an eye out for any news on that front. However, it will be tomorrow, or Thursday, at best, if any sales numbers are released for first day sales.Evil Genie Jafar wrote:Could someone know or can post the sales for the DVD?
It's amazing but I would guess they're right there with the Star Wars trilogy.

I found a lot of easter eggs on the second disc simply by waiting on the menu screens.
On the main screen of disc two for instance, a small button will appear in the top right corner after all the animation in the background is played. You'll be treated to a short clip with Brad Bird and Frank and Ollie!
I hope this helps you all find more stuff.

Quite a few easter eggs on disc two. I haven't tried to find any on disc one. I can say, on disc two, wait for an omnidroid to appear in the upper right screen. This works on several of the different menu screens.
The Incredibles performed by sock puppets is hilarious! Also, one of the easter eggs makes me hungry for chocolate cake!

Thanks for the tip. I've lost count of how many I've found, so far. I believe around 5-8.thatartguy wrote:I found a lot of easter eggs on the second disc simply by waiting on the menu screens.

Here's another tip for the easter eggs.
I've found that for some easter eggs, if you go back to it, a second time, there is something different.
For example: The easter egg on the Behind The Scenes Menu. The first time you watch it, it's the Frank and Ollie clip. The second time, it's a "Markisms" clip.

First time seeing the movie.. Thought it was funny and entertaining.. Watched some of the bonus features.. pretty good.. One thing (Hopefully there, just haven't gotten to it yet) I haven't found was anything with the actors doing the voices.. It's always interesting to see them get into character.

There's not. They only mention the actors in the commentaries, but there's nothing on any of them voicing the characters. (Well, there's a bit on Brad Bird doing E's voice in her vignette.)Lightyear wrote:First time seeing the movie.. Thought it was funny and entertaining.. As far as I know, there are 12 Easter Eggs scattered about the two discs, with eleven on Disc 2. And the secret website could be considered an Easter Egg in some ways, for that last deleted scene.
Anyway, you can read about the Easter Eggs near the bottom of the review:

Luke, I skipped that part of the review. I wanted to find them myself. Thanks for putting the information in there, however.Luke wrote: As far as I know, there are 12 Easter Eggs scattered about the two discs, with eleven on Disc 1. I think you might mean that there are eleven on disc 2. If there are eleven on disc 1, then I must have a defective disc!
God, what a DVD! So many special features, I want to cry.
When I saw the Kronos interface in the movie, I just knew that it'd end up as the DVD menu, hehe.
I haven't seen all of the deleted scenes yet, but I'm slightly dissapointed that there's not an extended version of the cut clip found in the "Vowellet" feature, the one with Violet complaining to her mom about her looks. Something like that would've helped flesh out Violet's character in the movie... I would've liked to see the rest of that scene.

I didn't like the movie at all. After so many reviews read, advice from my friends at high school, and even all those complimets here at UD; I was disappointed. I thought it was going to be hilarious, but I thought the only funny things were some of those silly stuff that Dash did. The beggining is extremely slow, there was nothing moving about it. The action sequences were rather cool but did not last long or if they did they never captured my attention. I won't bother watching the extras since I'm not interested in the movie at all. Really disappointed and I ALMOST regret buying the movie (since I got a free ball at Circuit City for buying it.)
So yes, you have an Incredibles troll and hater in the house. And I'm not afraid to say that Movsters Inc was waaaaayyyy funnier than this and it also had more heart.
......... NOT THAT INCREDIBLE!!! OVERRATED.

Hey,everyone's entitled to their opinion....Personally,I thought this was Pixar's best film yet(and I thought all their movies were great)...Since I already saw the film in the theater(twice),I've been looking through the special features on Disc 2(I'll be watching the movie itself tonight)...
I liked "Jack Jack Attack"...I thought it was cute/funny...The Mr. Incredible and Pals shorts wasn't too funny,IMO,but I loved the commentary(with Bob/Mr. Incredible and Lucius/Frozone)...

1. The Incredibles is NOT a comedy. It's NOT an action. It's NOT a kiddie film. It's a fusion (just saw Robots) of all different genres intended to let the audience have fun and connect with the characters and plot/theme. How could you think for a minute that this is just another "Austin Powers" or "XXX" (not that you said it was all action).lolopimp wrote:(KILL ME ALL OF YOU'Z WHO LOVED THE INCREDIBLES!)

2. Yes, IMO, it was a rather longer movie than I had expected, but that's what it is and not a moment of that time is useless banter; it's all going to help the storytelling.
3. Sadly a comparaison to Monsters Inc. is just useless. They are two quite different movies. First of all, why don't you guess why it was so funny... BILLY CRYSTAL, the best Oscars host ever! He comes up with stuff on the fly, much like Robin Williams. And, having him and John Goodman record together let them connect as real friends like Sully and Mike.
As for the heart, that's perhaps the one thing that kept many people over 8 away from this movie. IMO, it's the equal to Finding Nemo being Pixar's most kiddie film ever. Toy Stories and Bug's Life both went for wide audiences. Incredibles was shaking things up for Pixar before they got stuck continuing to do more child-driven works. The voice of John Goodman alone adds a lot of heart to many scenes.
Also the plot: if that last scene with Sully and Boo back together wasn't there, I don't think it would've been so warm and fuzzy. Just some of those last scenes with them together add the whole love and caring, tear-jerking moments to the film; something which was intended and needed for Incredibles. And you have to admit Randy Newman made some pretty heart-breaking music for those final scenes.
In other words, I think I will kill you...
.... not because you don't like The Incredibles, but because you were prejudice towards the film (something Star Wars fans know a lot about) and are comparing it when i's so very different from Monsters Inc. I suggest you clear your mind a little and re-view The Incredibles a few weeks done the line; you may start to appreciate it.
To tell you the truth I've thought all Pixar movies looked terrible but once I watched them I really enjoyed them! The only Pixar movies I actually wanted to watch was Toy Story 2 because I had watched the first one and liked it and Finding Nemo because I noticed that even though it seemed kinda dumb that's what I said about all the others. So now as it comes down to The Incredibles I know i'll like it once I rent it even though I'm not all that interested in it (I shouldn't judge a Pixar film). Same goes for Cars I think that looks really stupid, but will watch it anyways...lolopimp wrote: So yes, you have an Incredibles troll and hater in the house. So my question to you is....
How can you hate a Pixar Film
Was it really that bad

To me.....yes. By far, "The Incredibles" is the worst Pixar film, along with Finding Nemo. The rest are really good though.Dan05 wrote:

This is just my opinion, there's no need to get angry. And read someone writing about prejudice?? Yea....ok.

I guess that your misconception from the movie from the early begining made you dislike the movie; the same thing happened to me with Monsters Inc.
-And yeah and as the yoda_four explained: the movie is not a comedy or an action movie: is a blend of so many genres.
- It is not that the movie is slow. That's made on purpose (as well as the rest of the pace of the movie) to creat character development and further the story.
Unless you change your mind with this new perspective you'll never like the movie.
At least for my part I'm glad they try something different. Very soon all this comedy will become tiresome. Is like everytime you're going to watch a CGI movie it will be comedy.
