What unreleased DVDs are you looking forward to?

Post by Mr. Toad »

Well the field of unreleased movies is getting pretty thin. What do you wish was released? Dont include those that have been announced such as Cinderella or those that have been released and withdrawn like Little Mermaid

Mine

Song of the South
Little Darlings
Nuns on the Run
Sword and the Rose
What's New Pussycat
Woody Guthrie's Hard Travelin
Penn and Teller Get Killed
Scavenger Hunt
Six Pack(the Kenny Rogers NASCAR movie)

Really nothing there that is shocking that has not been released yet as they were not too popular although Nuns on the Run and What's New Pussycat would seem to have enough of a following to make a release a slam dunk.

And where is Little Darlings? Kirsti McNichol at puberty. Come on guys that is dollars in the bank.

Alice in Wonderland (1985 miniseries)
Song of the South
Not Quite Human
Teen Witch
I Dream of Jeannie
The Cosby Show
The Wonder Years
Life Goes On

Wow, I just realized almost this entire list is from the 80's. It seems that decade has a lot of films and shows MIA on DVD.

That is kind of an odd one not to be released. Maybe the Russians are blocking it?

It's nice to see somebody else wants Life Goes On and The Wonder Years released to.

If you interested, here is some news on The Wonder Years : http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=2952

I also really was talking about movies and not TV because TV releases are still comparitively in there infancy with so much left to come out. Now that movies are esentially nearing completion(the top 250 in adjusted box office have now been released) and song of the south is the only thing in the vaults approaching blockbuster that has never been released.

But if we are going to do tv too and limiting it to series that have not started:

St. Elsewhere
Simon and Simon
Remington Steele(they have announced and unannounced it so many times i have lost track of the actual status(
Rockford Files
Maverick/Bret Maverick - the James Garner seasons
Addams Family
Young Indiana Jones(see Remington Steele comment)
WKRP in Cincinatti(stuck in music clearnace hell)
Wiseguy - the storyline with Glenn Frey
Wild Wild West
House of Mouse
Hawaii 5-0
The Flash
Erie, Indiana

and my all time guilty pleasure - ie I am sure it sucked but I loved it the Indiana Jones ripoff

Tales of the Gold Monkey

That Darn Cat!!!
the original, not the remake with Christina Ricci[sic].....
Im worried that a lot of people have seen the modern garbage version, and wont give the original a chance. Oh well...
Jules: You know the shows on TV?
Vincent: I don't watch TV.
Jules: Yeah, but, you are aware that there's an invention called television, and on this invention they show shows, right?

Even though it has been released before on DVD, it received a poor treatment for such a huge movie. Titanic is probably my most anticipated DVD of the year.

Well, there aren't many movies I can think of that hasn't been released in DVD yet but I would like. As I said in the "General Discussion/Disney" forum, I would like to see "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken" on DVD sometime.

Regarding TV shows that haven't been released on DVD yet, the ones I mainly want are the old Nickelodeon shows and they include Hey Dude, Salute Your Shorts, and especially, You Can't Do That On Television.

You go for Blair or Jo?

Personally I go for Jo.

I wouldn't get it but I hope they go straight for Season 2. Season 1 was badly written and had so many nondescript forgettable characters.
