Today I went Disney shopping

Post by Sailor Eric »

Today I went to Laredo, TX and almost all I bought was from Disney!!! :D

First, I got Bambi at Sam Goody. :) It was my priority to get it this time.

Then, I went to Toys R Us and bought Disney Scene It!!! I wanted to buy the Monopoly Disney edition, but I decided to go with Scene It because I know I've seen the Monopoly here in Mexico but not the Scene It.

Finally, at Best Buy, I went crazy. I wanted so many things!!! I ended up taking "The Three Musketeers" (Mickey version) and "The Rescuers", leaving "Hocus Pocus" and "Robin Hood" behind. From the cd section I got "Disneymania" and the soundtrack of "Beauty and the Beast"; they were the last copies!!! I'm glad they had "Disneymania" I really wanted it. I also wanted the "Aladdin" soundtrack, especially because it was at $9.99, but I had already chosen all the other things, and this soundtrack is still easy to find, so I chose to leave it and get it later.

FUN SHOPPING  Today I might watch Bambi, or perhaps "The Three Musketeers" just to leave the best for last. I've been dying to see "The Three Musketeers", though, because I love the story and everyone looks so cute in those clothes, and the backgrounds look nice... Me wanna see!!! They sell the dvd in all the cd shops around here, but since all my Disney DVD's are US releases, I decided to wait and get the US version. :)

Anybody played the Scene It game before???

I own Disney Scene it! Unlike the normal version, I am usually able to answer 99% of the questions correct. I guess there's just a huge difference between guessing at films that you may have seen once and then answering questions about films that we consider masterpieces. It's enjoyable mainly for the clips, because I do not find any of the questions to be that challenging.

Disney™ Scene-It: Pretty easy, but lots of fun!

I like how there are questions on all of Disney's™ movies and Disney's™ characters, and so on! But you've got to hit the mute button or that music will drive you crazy when you're not doing the DVD questions.

I would love to be able to play that game, but none of my friends know disney movies as well as I do, and my family could care less. Its a shame, I think I could kick butt at that game.

It's basically like your normal Disney Trivia type of board game (you move around the board by answering Disney questions), but the twist is there's a DVD involved. Landing on certain spaces will prompt you to use the DVD to answer questions. Things on the DVD include distorted images that you have to identify the character for, obscure images or sound clips that you have to identify the film for, and various movie clips that are followed by questions. What's also nice is that pretty much all of the film clips are presented in their original aspect ratio. The game is extremely easy for a Disney fan, but also extremely fun. I beat my friends everytime at it (even when they tried to cheat by covering up the TV screen). :D
