I actually didn't find it surprising. Shrek beating Monsters, Inc. was a gigantic surprise, but The Incredibles was, in my opinion, much better than Shrek II...I love Shrek though!JiminyCrick91 wrote: you know i found it awesome yet unexpected that Incedibles won i mean the 1st Shrek beat monsters inc.

Was there ever any doubt that The Incredibles would win Animated Feature?
It got a screenplay nom, and Shrek 2 didn't, so that kind of tells you something about which was seen as better storywise.

Well I personally thought Shrek 2 sucked. All they did was make a bunch of dumb jokes and make a stupid story to surround it! I could make a funnier movie in 5 minutes! I don't think I could make a cooler movie than the Incredibles in 28 years! I also agree with RJKD23 that the first Shrek was much better! But that's just IMO.apt4893 wrote: Really, it's just my opinion. I still like the Incredibles, better than like other cgi movies like Antz.

About Shrek 2: I loooooooooooooved it!!!! I personally did find it VERY funny and better than the first. I just loved all the jokes and crazy characters!!! I loved that there was a red carpet, and when Sleping Beauty arrived, she stepped out of the car and fell!!!
I'm not sure if it has rewatching value, though.
About The Incredibles: I definetely enjoyed it a lot when I watched it, but I just don't feel like watching it again. It's a movie to see once.... or every now and then.

Well I was holding off buying The Incredibles and it kept getting cheaper. Then reading the good comments here I bought it blind and am I glad I did. I watched it tonight and I must say WOW. I liked it a lot better than I thought I would. I thought I would it enjoy it to begin anyways. I can see how the movie won 2 Oscars. Well-deserved Oscars.MinnieMe wrote:I guess I need to SEE Incredibles first... I've been holding off because it didn't look like the kind of subject matter I'd like. I loved Finding Nemo and both Shreks though.. I may have to rent it soon!!
