SLEEPING BEAUTY HAS ARRIVED

Post by Trojan Mouse »

Just got my copy of Sleeping Beauty today and it is awesome. Better than the European set because it has an awesome commentary track that flows very well and also has both versions of the film.

More importantly -- the insert officially announces 2-Disc special editions of Alice in Wonderland, Pocahontas, Mary Poppins and Lilo & Stitch! :D

Can't wait.

Oooh, lucky you. Can you tell us who's on the commentary track?

I'm so happy Alice (as well as Pocahontas and Lilo) will be a 2-disc!!! :D

Stop tempting me to buy it!!!! :D

Wow, that is awesome news about the 2-Disc special editions, especially in light of the comments by Gordon Ho on the front page: "But there has been no plans for announcements in the area of a title like Lilo & Stitch or one like that. You'll have to wait and see."

I guess I'll be getting news copies of these films next year.

Incidentally, who is on the Sleeping Beauty commentary track?

Actually, when he said that in the interview, he was referring to whether or not Lilo will go platinum, so even then there was still the hope of Lilo going 2-disc, just not platinum. :D

Oh, Ok....thanks! This is what I get for not reading the interview in full. :D

A 2-disc Alice will rock! But I have to say that a 2-disc Lilo will rock my world even more...and since I held off buying Mary Poppins, that is one I don't have to justify rebuying...

Damn, now I feel like a bonehead for buying the GC Alice... :( But it's great that a 2-Disc SE Alice is now official! :)

One question though...how'd you get SB so early? :? :?

Its a compilation of folks including Ollie Johnaton, Marc Davis, Ivand Earle and a historian I have never heard of before. Its a great track and far better than the making of previously released. :o

Aha, so basically it's like the Peter Pan commentary, only with a historian hosting rather than Roy Disney. Thanks for the info! :D

And does it "open like a book?"
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Cool! VERY tempting to get....
but I might have to wait.
Too many other goodies coming out.
Mind you those other goodies probably don't open like a book....

TM,
Do you have WinDVD and the ability to make screencaps? If so, it would make a nice addition to the site, and I'd appreciate it. After all, I'm certainly not going to get an early copy to do a review or anything.
