Favourite Disney movie of the 80's?

Post by Disney-Fan »

This time choose your favourite of the 80s animated movies! (Also, now it's fair to include The Little Mermaid :P )

Mine is obviously The Little Mermaid. My all time favourite movie. (animated and non animated!).

I really would have voted for The Little Mermaid, as that is most definetely the best of the bunch. However, as I could imagine nobody voting for the other films, I decided to not vote for my favourite, but in fact my second favourite; Oliver and Company. I've only seen this movie once or twice, but from what I remember, it was an enjoyable affair and a step in the right direction towards The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin etc.

I always was a Fox and the Hound kind of guy. I don't know why but something inside me really loves this movie.

The Fox and the Hound gets my vote. When I was a child (some argue I still am) this movie was all around me from bedsheets, books, pictures on the wall... I had a lot of merchandise and I liked the movie a whole lot obviously. :)

Now I still really enjoy the movie and it's my favourite of the 80's.

The Little Mermaid is far and away the best overall movie of the choices, but I voted for Great Mouse Detective. I always liked Basil of Baker Street. :D

I had to go with the Little Mermaid... that's when they started making animated films the right way again. It saved animation for a few years.

I voted for oliver & company and the little mermaid would be my second choice. Reason being oliver & company because I can relate to that movie a lot more then I can a mermaid. I have a lil orange tabby and hes the greatest pet I have ever had. Hes so loyal and loving, I sometimes think he is a dog trapped in a cats body. He sometimes makes a kitty like bark, and he talks all the time and hes needy like a dog... I found him when he was a baby, took him in and gave him a better home and life then he had stuck under someones porch getting infested with fleas and totally neglected at 5 weeks old! He allways seems to know when im talking about him to, he just walked up and said "MOOF!" thats his kitty bark.

So thats why I chose Oliver & Company, plus the music is great! The whole movie is... I think I am going to go get in bed and watch it now! :D

LOL oh yea one more thing my dad calls him Oliver and I cant stand it! He calls him that because of Oliver on green achers, and he even says it like her to! Wich really bugs me.. if it were not for him calling him that I wouldnt mind the name because it works perfect for him
