Donald Duck movie
Donald Duck movie
Is anyone else besides me longing for a movie featuring Donald Duck? Goofy has his movies and I sure do enjoy those but I have always though (well since 'A Goofy Movie') that Donald Duck should get a starring role in a movie. Sure some of the other gang could make appearances but it would be nice if it was all Donald... throw in his nephews, Daisy and even Scrooge McDuck and I would go to the theatres and see it.
I love the Winnie the Pooh movies but only using Mickey, Donald and the gang for direct to video movies like 'The Three Musketeers' is a shame. I mean that was enjoyable but I'm all for them on the big screen!

What about an extended version of a Donald Duck cartoon (feature length) that also features the Bee and Chip 'n' Dale. With those three pests there shouldn't be much dialogue from Donald and then it won't irritate people who don't like the duck sound.
I would pay full price to see a Donal Duck movie with the Bee and Chip 'n' Dale.

The only way to watch movies - Original Aspect Ratio!!!!
I LOVE my Blu-Ray Disc Player!

Yeah I thought some people would get sick of his voice but I would think there is mor who wouldnt be, plus he would have a great supporting cast.
I forgot about Chip 'n Dale... and the bee.
Yeah include them too. Hmmm... I can see a camping adventure story even if it has already been done before... throw Humphrey into the mix too. Actually if they went that route I would love to see Mickey and Donald in there too, plus Minnie and Daisy.
So much for the Donald standalone movie!

I've always thought another DuckTales movie would be nice. They should release the movie and TV show on DVD now to test their popularity.DaveWadding wrote:...DuckTales?
..now that I think of it, they need to release that movie on DVD...NOW.
I think they should make a Donald movie though, I would be SOOOOO there.

Yup that's what I want to see, Donald losing his temper all the time. Now only if the person who wrote 'Anger Management' submitted it to Disney we could have seen something pretty interesting...Ciaobelli wrote:As long as they don't make him a coward. They have to have him losing his temper every few minutes and ripping %^&^ up!!
Adam Sandler .... Dave Buznik (Donald Duck)
Jack Nicholson .... Dr. Buddy Rydell (Pete... I know some would say Ludwig Von Drake but Pete is more dynamic as a character unless they wanted to develope Drake more!)
Marisa Tomei .... Linda (Daisy)

Well, Donald has his own video game (Donald Duck Gone Quakers). Is the Duck Avenger a video game or just a comic book?
A Donald Duck movie would be very entertaining. I would like to see a movie about the Duck family history and maybe we'll finally get to see Dumbella, his sister! How many fine feathered friends are related to Donald? So far, I can think of:
~ Uncle Scrooge
~ Grandma Duck
~ Gus Goose
~ Dumbella Duck
~ Huey, Dewey, and Louie
~ How is Webigail related to him?

Cool... I don't know his family that much. I'm actually thinking of picking up a few Donald Duck comic issues when I get a chance. I'm assuming they delve more into those characters in there.Kram Nebuer wrote:Well, Donald has his own video game (Donald Duck Gone Quakers). Is the Duck Avenger a video game or just a comic book?

The Three Caballeros was a Donald movie, technically, so there was a movie starring him. I've been saying for a while now that if they want to make sequels to their classic films, why not that one? They could make a really crazy flick with those characters blending them with live action, computer animation and stop motion. I'd definitely see the Return of the Three Caballeros or The Three Caballeros Loco Adventure!
Yeah The Three Caballeros was a Donald movie but it wasn't exactly what I was thinking. I would love to see another Three Caballeros adventure.
I've pretty much ignored this upcoming Mickey's Around the World release so if this is like it I hope no one goes off the deep end.
...I would be interested in seeing something like The Three Caballeros that focuses on many countries. It could feature different countries with animated shorts and live-action segments exploring the world. It could be a neat little series.

If they ever make the Kingdom Hearts game, Donald will get a lot of screen time.
There may be a story out there that could sustain Donald as the main character for 75 minutes... I just don't know what it would be. I think the dynamics of his personality work well in shorter formats and with other cast members, because, as a character, he plays well as the comic sidekick. Even in his starring short cartoons, there was always a character that was causing him grief, such as the nephews, or the bee, or two little chipmunks. That's what really got Donald into his angry ranting.
If I were writing a Donald feature, I would probably make it an action/adventure oriented classic, such as Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Lost World" or maybe even H.G. Wells "Time Machine" or "Journey to the Center of the Earth". These stories could all easily fit in a scientist character (Ludwig), a rich financier (Scrooge), a love interest (Daisy) and three young identical sidekicks (the nephews.)
Hmmmm....
Darnit! Now I wanna see it!
