If there is anyone who is tired of the same old Disney avatars, you may want to check out the following websites. These feature both Disney, as well as non-Disney avatars. Hope you all find them useful.

On the PROFILE PAGE, scroll down to where it says "Upload Avatar from your machine", browse to where it is on your computer and upload.Sulley wrote:How can I get an avatar saved on my hard drive to appear next to my name?
Keep in mind that it will have to be under 100 x 100 pixels and 10 KB.

If you are having difficulty determining if you can use an avatar or not, try the following.
Once you find an avatar that you are interested in, place your arrow or pointer directly on it. If you right click, a window will appear with several options. Click the "Properties" option. It is here that you will find the following:
URL (web address)
Size of file
Dimensions
Among other bits of useful file information
It is this information that will let you know whether the avatar can be used or not.
I found a lot of great Monster Inc. avatars, but the file size was in the 200 range. Is there any way of decreasing the file size without decreasing the dimensions?
