I think the best way to show Mickey in a movie is a role somewhat like his role in Kingdom Hearts. That game is HUUGEE and I think it is a great role for Mickey to play. It is a serious and dark role but one a child could understand. Most think of Mickey as, "Im going to go to Minnie's house and she is gonna bake me a pie and oh no one problem will get in the way but it will all work out!" Reminds me of the Brady Bunch *shivers*
Mickey needs to be in a serious role but a role that shows his true character. Kingdom Hearts has a GIGANTIC fan-base and people they strayed away from Disney got pulled back in by this game and the fact that Mickey's life isnt hunky-dory anymore in that story. Mickey is fresh, serious, and powerful and people like that ( he also has a kick butt Matrix-esque outfit for the sequal! )
Im not saying he should be in an actual Kingdom Hearts movie but something like it. Even though a Kingdom Hearts Movie would be the BOMB!!! I'd see it atleast 5 times!!!
Just for the Record....

Well
Yes that's exactly what I've written. Scenes such as that have to be crafted well, in order for them to work. And you have to balance your creative power with other people.singerguy04: i think you should work it in as a scene where it's implied that they are about to, but the scene changes. That's what i mean... i guess, lol
But in my opinion intimate moments should never ever be used in a picture if it doesn't:
1. Establish another character. (Something we'd all like to see happen)
2. Advance the story.
3. Build up each character
Without these three details, it can't be used. But if it does all of the above, than go for it.
However, when it comes to Minnie and Mickey, I plan to use shadows.
Do you remember in the Scorcer's Apprentice, where Mickey kills the broom? And the only representation of it is Mickey's shadow hacking away at it?
That's how I've written it. That and of course their tails wrapping together tightly.
Yeah I know. But you have to think about it realistically. Even though some people would be morally and politically upset. Just speaking out about what upsets you will just make more people interested in going to see it.singerguy04:but there is a difference between taking risks and mothers and fathers trying to ban the movie bc mickey and minnie have sex.
Take a look at the Jerry Springer show for example. If you watch the crowd reactions to what those crazy guests are doing with their lives, even kids watching will know that its not appropriate to act that way.
Note to administrator: I hope I haven't gotten too off topic. Because this is just my interpretation of new ways in order to tell stories with Mickey. My intetention is not to offend anyone on the boards with this stuff. Just to point out that Disney is in dire need of re-inventing itself.
And romatantic moments in the industry have changed. Remember back in the 1950s when married couples were not allowed to be shown sleeping in the same beds?

with all that you've said, i'm excited to see what you have planned. i hope that you develope a script that disney will enjoy so we all can see it in theaters. I just hope you know i wasn't trying to bash your work at all, i was just making sure i understood what you were tlaking about. it seems like an interesting story from what you've said, keep up the good work.
I think a Kingdom Hearts movie would be both kick butt and profitable. I would like that to be a seperate movie though, with mickey not being the star. I mean mickey isn't really the star in Kingdom Hearts afterall. I would like to see a movie starring mickey and then a Kingdom Hearts movie.
