EVEN STEVENS MOVIE AND CADET KELLY ON DVD!!!!!!!
In case you haven't seen the front page of the site, a lot of people's dreams have come true. Disney Channel is releasing two of their most popular movies on DVD: The Even Stevens Movie and Cadet Kelly!!! Special features haven't been announced yet, but Amazon has both for $13.99!!! I love ESM, and I thought CK was okay, but I'm definitely getting both if this means more Disney Channel movies on DVD!

Cheers,
JM

Very exciting. I unfortunately missed the Even Stevens movie on the Disney Channel, so I'll just pick up the DVD and see it then.
I also think this is an indication that we will see Even Stevens on DVD, perhaps sometime this year (though we still haven't heard about a Lizzie Volume 2
)

These releases are in no way taking the place of any potential animated classic release. Even if Disney wasn't releasing them, it would have no impact on the release of other animated classics on 2-Disc DVD.castleinthesky wrote:Why? Why? Why? Disney could be releasing more animated classics on two disks, instead of releasing these horrible movies.

Have you actually seen any of the Disney Channel Original Movies? Alot of them are very entertaining, and many kids love these movies! I know my sister and I do. We make sure to see them every chance we get! And apparently Disney thinks so too, or else they wouldnt be releasing them. If you talk to the kids now-a-days most of them would recognize Bambi before they recognize Fun and Fancy Free or even the more widely known, 101 Dalmations.castleinthesky wrote:Why? Why? Why? As I see your point, I also disagree on a few things. I would love to have another 2-Disc release of terrific movies such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, or Dumbo, but as SofaKing said, many people do like these movies, and I think they are no where near terrible, but a version of entertainment...I guess it is just a matter of opinion.castleinthesky wrote:Why? I have seen nearly all the Disney Channel Movies. These both horrible, in my opinion. I don't see the point for people to buy them when they are on t.v. every other week.SofaKing381222 wrote:Have you actually seen any of the Disney Channel Original Movies? Well, actually thats wrong. Even Stevens Movie and Cadet Kelly happen to be playing this week on Disney Channel, BUT they have not aired in over a month. And that argument isnt reasonable, because alot of movies are playing every week on some channels. So would you not by these just becuase they are on every-once-and-a-while. What if youd like to watch the movie, but it's not on. Then your missing out on something which you could have had. And on your argument that All disney Channel Original Movies are terrible, I find it hard to believe that 54 consecutive movies can all be as bad as you say they are. I admit there are a few stinkers, but some of these movies are very entertaining and are not on all the time. Miracle in Lane 2 (First DVD DCOM) hasnt been on the Disney Channel in a VERY LONG time, and Get A Clue( 3rd DVD Dcom) Hasnt played in over a year! So please dont say that theyre all on 24/7 when they are not. And I respect your opinion, but please dont call them all horrible when theyr not. Some may be bad, but not Horrible

I would say most of them aren't very great, but The Even Stevens Movie is definitely one of the best Disney Channel Original Movies I've seen. (And the show was even better than the movie!)
