Ariel - bless you cotton socks for working while I'm asleep.

I'd like to take just a moment to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to talk with me. I was very glad to hear that inserts will now be included in all future BVHE dvds. I know that cutting out inserts cuts down on production costs, but it just left the case looking empty. Another option I know I mentioned to you the other day was using a clear amaray case rather than black. Then if you print the cover art on both sides you can view directly through the clear case. Such as the recent release of Adaptation. Of course I couldn't actually find a picture of that imparticular case.

I was also very pleased that you actually listened to my suggestions regarding the Lion King Giftset issue I also called about. I am really happy that you are changing it. I know so many other people that were upset about not getting lithographs with the gift set preorder. It was so nice to actually 'be heard' if you know what I mean.
Another issue I forgot to mention on the phone the other day was OAR. I recently bought a widescreen HDTV just so that I can view my movies in their Original Aspect Ratio. There are so many recent releases from Disney that have only been released in 'fullframe' or pan'n scan. It is so disheartening to see movies I love distorted from their OAR. The following is a list of Disney movies that have ONLY been released in P&S. Some of these, such as Operation Dumbo Drop & Blank Check were released in OAR in Region 2 & 4 dvd's, but only P&S in Region 1. Why is this? I find it so very odd. Anyway, my point is that more & more people are buying Widescreen TV's and are aware of the cropping that occurs. Even Blockbuster is making a point to stock Widescreen DVD's whenever possible.

I am sure you've seen side by side comparisons before, but I always refer to this one. It is so apparent that the P&S version is missing almost half the intended film.

End rant on OAR.
Just one more quick question. Are there plans for the following three movies to be released on DVD any time soon?
Song of the South
So Dear to my Heart
Flight of the Navigator
These movies have such a following that they would sell wonderfully. Especially SOTS, as I'm sure you know.
If you have any questions for me, an average avid dvd collector & watcher, I would be more than happier to oblige.
I am a huge Disney fan and an avid DVD collector. My kids (4 & 2) can't wait for Finding Nemo to come out & neither can Mom.
Thank you,
Ariel

Is this an omen that I should?
The local video store is having an ex-rental sale, and Snow Dogs is like half-price...
Ok, I will do it!
So much for my budget this week
Oh, and as much as I want to be everyone's favorite UD.com member, I am willing to concede to Ariel.
Bless your cotton socks once more
