GREAT news from Disney DVD today!

Post by wdwleesa »

Several of you may already know this but it was news to me. I received my copy of Tower of Terror today from Bestbuy.com. I opened it to see if by chance there was a chapter insert included. Believe it or not, there was one!! I immediately called the Disney 800 number on the DVD to thank them for including the chapter insert. The very nice young lady at Disney informed me that there had been so many complaints from Disney DVD fans, the company decided to begin putting inserts back in the DVDs!! I felt that since I had called to complain, it was my place to call and thank them for putting the inserts in again. She said there might be a few in the next month or so released without them but from now on, all releases will have chapter inserts. I guess the "squeaky wheel does get the grease" sometimes!

If you, too, are glad to see this feature return, call or email Disney DVD and thank them.

Leesa :)

I didn't get one. But it doesn't really bother me.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I'd like one too. I must admit I liked the True Life Adventure included on the disc but wish they'd done a decent restoration of it before slapping it on there.

Then again, the entire True Life Adventures series needs a good restoration and box set release. I grew up on those wonderful shorts.

call them and ask them if they're going to send inserts to the people that bought the DVD w/o inserts. :)

Bought Lizzie McGuire today and it had a chapter insert as well. This is a very good sign that for once, maybe Disney is listening to their buying public.

I sure wish we could request inserts for those movies that came without, like The Rescuers.

This is VERY exciting news! I was worried that Disney was getting so greedy that they wouldn't insert a piece of paper in the cover and take out the plastic, and then start selling their DVDs in CD holders....
