Extremely weird movie... even for me that like all kind of stuff.
Just bought it at the time because I read in ign that it was a very good movie. And it is. It's just that the pace is TOO slow and I think the movie is too long considering the plot it has. This is a movie for me to wacth probably once a year.

That's cool, Evil Genie Jafar. I'm with you on this! I think most people hated on it because Jodi Foster didn't play Clarice, but I think Julianne Moore did a terrific job. It stands as my favorite of the trilogy, and deserves so much more attention than it gets.Evil Genie Jafar wrote:HANNIBAL
My favorite movie!!! I love the fact that obviously it centers on Hannibal Lecter. Love the pacing, the superb acting, the camera direction, the places shown, the soundtrack.... and that contrary to what most people think, Hannibal is an independent movie. Yeah, of course it's part of a trilogy but each of these movies are a different chapter. And besides, while the first two were suspense/thrillers this one is suspense/horror.

Of course she did. And if you read reviews on the movie you'll see that all agree on this.MadonnasManOne wrote:That's cool, Evil Genie Jafar. I'm with you on this! I think this movie will become one of cult in the future if it's not one already.
I can't stand when people say: "it's worse that SILENCE" Well, duh, it wasn't meant to be a direct sequel like LOTR or Star Wars (if it was probably people would have said "another thriller...". People should appreciate it as a stand alone movie and the quality it has.
And it wasn't such a bad movie when it got this much money,
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0212985/business
and made RED DRAGON possible.
PS
All people that I know of that have watched this movie (even if the person doesn't like horror or gore) either love it or like it a LOT.

Last night was a weird night for watching movies. First my wife picked out "Mean Girls", which I also enjoy, and we watched that. Afterwards she went upstairs and made up a veggie snack tray and I got to pick out the next film. It was a tough choice but I decided on the film that stars the next Academy Award winner for Best Actor, Jamie Foxx, we watched the Extended Version of "Ray" and enjoyed every minute of it. After the wife went to bed I watched "Ichi the Killer" - don't ask me why, I just did.

Today, my last day before I return to work, I have watched so far:
"The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother" with Gene Wilder and Marty Feldman
"Star Wars - The Clone Wars" Chapters 1 - 20 - Animated Star Wars adventures I recorded many moons ago off of Cartoon Network.
"Alien vs. Predator" - just a fun movie to watch and waste an hour and a half.
"The Challenge" with Scott Glenn and Toshiro Mifune
Later tonight I will be watching: "13 Going on 30" with Jennifer Garner
"Song of the South" that special DVD that they are selling on eBay so cheap, and it is a really good movie. I hope they get off their duffs and release it here in the US.
And if I can stay awake: "Collateral" with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx.
So my last day of total boredom is filled with some pretty good movies and then tomorrow it is back to work for the first time in 2005. I hate being sick and I hate doctors and I especially hate hospital food.
