The G-rated direct-to-video "midquel" Tarzan II will arrive on June 14th, 2005.

Two weeks earlier, on May 31st, we'll get that next wave of Classic Cartoon Favorites, which includes:

While it's not even in theaters for another three days, Pooh's Heffalump Movie should also show up on DVD sometime in June.

The Upcoming Schedule has been updated with these new release dates and includes some confirmed specs on The Parent Trap SE and expected specs on Extreme Sports Fun.

All of these are 30% at Amazon.com.

Hmm, they already have "Tarzan II" for pre-order? So it seems the US won't be getting a re-release of the original "Tarzan", as I thought it would.

I think it's weird that BVHE is not promoting Tarzan II yet, while there is already a trailer out of Lilo & Stitch 2, which will be released after Tarzan II.

When is L&S 2 coming out anyways? Does anybody know a month or day? This is one DTV that I am really looking forward to.

To turn this back onto subject. I'll have to check out those CCF sets. I've held off buying the previous ones because of my treasures collections (I have all of the ones on Starring Mickey and plan on getting the ones on the other three). Depending on what they have on them, I may buy. They're only $11.99 up here in Canada, so it's almost a no-brainer if they have something that I really want
Cheers!

Cause Disney has no rhyme or reason in their ways. I'm sure they'll promote Tarzan II just a weeee bit before the release date. Yknow, just spring it on people.
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

I think the reason we haven't seen a lot of promotion for Tarzan II yet is because Disney only recently nailed down the date. Not more than a few weeks ago, on the Disney Toon Studios site, they were claiming that Lilo & Stitch 2 would be released in the summer and Tarzan II would come in the fall. It seems they just flipped the release dates. That explains why we saw a trailer for Lilo on the Mulan II DVD so early.

Disney could delay Tarzan II and re-release Tarzan just like Disney did with Mulan and Mulan II. Either way Tarzan might get a Special Edition next year or the year after that year.

I predict that Pooh's Heffalump Movie will come out on Disney DVD on August 23, 2005.

Because The Tigger Movie came out in theaters on February 11 and came out on Disney DVD on August 22, 2000.

Release windows have gotten a lot shorter in five years, man. Miracle went from theaters to DVD in three months (February to May). Teacher's Pet was under four last year.

hmm i fear the reason why they don't promote TarzaN 2 is that the movie SUCKS ( about 80% chance of it)

I don't think it will suck, since Phil Collins has praised it and wrote 3 new songs for it... Lighten up!

Okay so why a midquel??? Just wondering what could have happeneded during Tarzan's teenage years. Well I hope it connects with Tarzan the original and is not just some random story. Which reminds me is there any word on the plot of this story?

Tarzan II will be about Tarzan growing up in the jungle. Remember the "Son of Man" song sequence? Well, that song sums up the stuff the young Tarzan did while growing up (it's actually a fastforward to the adult tarzan life) and Tarzan II is that sequence, but only longer. At least, I think it will be.

I heard once that the prequel had to do with Kerchack's brother. Maybe he is that ancient gorila we see in the picture?
