Miyazaki's (Castle of Cagliostro) question
Hi, this might not be the site to ask but... I have a question for Miyazaki fans that are here, I think I was on some comic book movie site a while back and I remember reading some little one line blurb some where there about some kind of live action remake? or new story? to do with the movie Castle of Cagliostro/(Lupin the 3rd) being made or possibly being made. Does anyone know or heard anything about this in the past?. I have tried to refined/retrace that site for info with no luck yet so I thought I would ask here.

Very good story plot line
When I first started to look into anime films, I rented this film before I seen some/most of Miyazaki's/Ghibli's newer stuff, at that time I thought it was just ok, but when I seen some of his newer films and started to appreciate Ghibli's/Miyazaki's style of art work and how he/they do things, I rented this film again and liked it MUCH! more for some reason (I think because I payed more attention the the story plot). I then bought it just recently and then remembered seeing some where/some thing about a live action version. Watching it again and imagining it as a live action story/film it just makes sence that this Lupin character would/could be a great live action movie.
I think once a new person sees Princess Mononoke or Spirited Away and they start to become a fan of his art then I think his older work like Castle of Cagliostro would be an excellent movie to see and own too.
Now that my family and I are Ghibli fans Castle of Cagliostro is a must own/have for us and is a favorite... it has a great story.

A Lupin live-action movie could be awesome if done right. Of course, we're still waiting for a live-action Speed Racer film. Any time an anime property gets hot, rumors about an Americanized live-action version fly all over the place. Anyone remember how Tim Burton was interested in making a film out of the Mai the Psychic Girl manga several years ago?
Actually, I was hoping for the US live-action version of Sailor Moon that Geena Davis wanted to star in (as Queen Beryl, of course). Funny how it probably would have been a Disney movie, if only Meet the Deedles had done well in theaters. I'm still not sure what to make of the live-action TV series; at the very least I can admit it's one of my guilty pleasures.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I'm tempted to buy Castle of Cagliostro every single time I hit Media Play. The only thing that holds me back is the $30 price tag.
