I just watched Contact. No matter how often I watch this movie, I am always enthralled by it.

Man in the Iron Mask last night.

I like this film except for some of the acting. Jeremy Irons was perfect (per usual) as Father Aramis while the actor who played Athos seemed a bit... apathetic--it's almost as though he were reading his lines off a teleprompter. Everyone else was fine and while Leo is an excellent actor, he always uses the same accent (or he never uses an accent, whatever)! He sounds like a Calfornian surfer dude in every one of his movies and it gets distracting at times. Same with Athos and his American accent.
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

I couldn't sleep last night so I watched 2 of my dvds that I hadn't even opened yet.

I watched Bikini Beach, and Pajama Party. Both with Annette Funicello. Great movies. I love the Beach Movies, that is probablly why I bought almost all of the 60's Beach Movie DVDs lol!

Alien vs Predator

It wasn't as bad as I remembered... if they'd added MORE fights.

I watched it three times: 1 of those with the audiocommentary.

Plus, I went trough all the extras.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Fantastic, fantastic movie. I loved it! I like Jim Carrey in more serious roles, as he tends to annoy me when he gets too wacky. Kate Winslet was excellent. Reminded me of an even crazier Sam (from Garden State, played by Natalie Portman) and she was great. Looked wonderful in that '70s(?) getup as well. ;)

I loved the ending as well--melancholy but hopeful.
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

Late last night I saw White Chicks and it was actually better than I expected. Creepy at times but it was good for some entertainment. I'd rather watch it again than be forced to watch an Adam Sandler movie for instance (unless Drew Barrymore is in it).

Today I saw Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. I thought it was better than I expected as well. I had been anticipating it for a loooooong time and when it came out I sort of lost some interest when I heard people say it wasn't so great. Well I think it has problems but it certainly entertained me. I just might buy it. I'm adding it to my list of pretty cool popcorn flicks (I,Robot is on that list).

Right now I'm watching Alice Through the Looking Glass on CBC. It's a 1998 British movie starring Kate Beckinsale as Alice. It's enjoyable but I'm mainly focusing on this site, my TV search online and looking up a few DVDs. :)

Oh and I forgot to mention.... this afternoon I saw Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid again. Today was a big movie day for me. :)

Yeah, I don't like him either. Someone invited me to see Anger Management at the theater and I didn't leave because of that. But I hated it; mostly Jack Nicholson's character tough.

I didn't like White Chicks. I hated all those vulgar jokes at the restaurant scene for instance.

I would recommend you to watch Sorority Boys; that one is so funny.

I would rate 'Anger Management' as my third favourite Adam Sandler movie behind '50 First Dates' and 'The Wedding Singer'. After those three comes 'Happy gilmore' and 'Billy Madison', which I like somewhat but I'll be okay if I don't see those for another few years. All of the rest that I've seen I can't stand at all.

Never seen 'Sorority Boys'... well all of it. I thought it was okay but when it was on I was busy doing something else. I should pick it up again and give it another try.

I'm pretty sure you'll like it.

For me it was like: I rented it, loved it/watched it 4 times, bought it on the next day.

And still, it's one of those rare movies for me that I still laugh at the same jokes.

The Usual Suspects.

The ending is so awesome, especially when they start show the bulletin board with all those names and places and whatnot. Wow. Clever stuff.

A few flicks today

Friday Night Lights
Own the dvd
Really a terrific sports movie. And a pretty accurate and scary portray of how people in these small towns think of their local teams.

Redemption:The Stan "Tookie" Williams Story.
Rental
This was a made for tv movie Jamie Foxx did earlier this year on FX I think. He plays Stan "Tookie" Williams who is currently on death row. Williams was one the founders of the Crips who has now repented is violent past and is the author of several children's books. It's a very well done movie and confirms that Foxx is the best actor working today bar none.

Metallica:Some Kind of Monster
Rental
Very interesting documentary. Metallica is one of my favorite bands of all time. It's kind of strange seeing these guys rocking hard one minute, then the next minute they're playing with their kids.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Proudly own the dvd.
What a movie. I love everything about this. Nicholson's best performance. I want to watch it again and soon. God I love this movie!!!!

I saw Bully on IFC, up from the point where they start to stab Bobby.

And wow, that film just kept me enthralled till the end; it was like watching a horrendous trainwreck. I was squirming the entire way through but it was worth the discomfort. I mean, what a way for your life to fall apart right before your very eyes.

And the fact that it was based on a true story--wow.
