Mickey in Black and White Volume 1 problem.

Post by ichabod »

Hi does anyone else have this problem?

On disc 2 of Mickey Mouse in Black and White Volume 1 when the cartoon starts, the first line of dialogue is subtitled, even when the subtitles are not selected! It is only the first line of each cartoon and then it just goes back to normal.

Yes. I had this problem on our old cheap bedroom DVD player, which has since blown up ("Not literally, that would be hidious"). But it never did it on our "proper" DVD player in the main living room.

I've not tried it on the replacement bedroom player yet.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

No, as I haven't had that problem

I do however have problems of subtitles coming on during the "From The Vaults" section on volume 2 (and you can't turn em off either!)

Yes, I thought it was probably just my DVD player that was the trouble, It doesn't happen with any of the other Treasures DVDs. I have had this DVD for over 2 years now, and when I was watching it yesterday I just thought I don't know why I haven't asked this already!

This is only slightly related but on my Star Wars episode I disc there are supposed to be subtitles when the aliens speak and I do see those at home on my DVD player but on apple G4 mirror computers they don't play at all. Bizarre.

I don't know anything about your problem though, sorry. I just thought I'd share a bit of my bizarre problems.
