Just in time for the holidays, the family that just never learns not to take a vacation is getting their own gift set. Featuring all four of the much-beloved National Lampoon flicks - Vacation, European Vacation, Christmas Vacation and Vegas Vacation - The Ultimate Vacation Collection features all of the new special edition versions as well as a remastered edition of Vegas Vacation in anamorphic widescreen and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround (there are no new extras.) The set will be available on September 9th and retails for $59.95, and all of the four Vacation flicks will also be available separately for $19.95 a pop, including the Vegas adventure

Actually, it's coming October 7 - same day Vegas and Christmas are re-released individually. DVD File is wrong.

Anyhow, I've already got Vacation pre-ordered from Amazon, so I'll pick up the others at some point (probably through CH) and complete the collection. No box for me, I suppose. (But I WILL be getting the High School Reunion box now, so it all evens out.)

I assume these are all WS transfers?

If so, great, more dough to spend.

Anyone wanna buy a barebones first issue of Christmas Vacation?

:)

Yes, all will be widescreen. I'll pass on the Christmas Vacation DVD, though. (I got rid of my Vacation DVD a few months ago in anticipation for its release.) :D
