Well, Dinosaur was disappointing to many. I myself, can't comment since the last time I saw the movie I was 10. I hardly remember anything other than beautful backgrounds!

What was so dissapointing about it? Wasnt it using state of the art effects and stuff...?

Well, to be frank I don't really remember. Most of the complaints I've read aren't about the technology. The story seems to be a bit weak compared to other Disney features...

If you're gonna collect DVDs, collector's edition is always the best! :D
I did the same thing you did; I didn't watch Dinosaur before I bought the DVD...that's why I was iffy about buying the CE of it! But in the end...it turned out fine! :o
I don't think many people appreciated the new art done on DINOSAUR (as opposed to the animation), but the second disc has cool games and features on it! :)
Are you from the United States? Because if you are, you'll be able to find it *Cheap (or cheaper)* on HALF.COM (the number you just type in Search bar is: 786936147728)

And if you are Region 1, the casing is the same as Tarzan, Atlantis, and Emperor's! (you don't see much 2-Disc CE packed like that, so its rare! :P):thumb:

you have not seen the film and no one will talk about it? Well, maybe it's because 6 years after its release we are still speechless  yes Tarzan is that good.

There's no slip cover. :(
But it's the 2-disc DVD type, the bigger one. (not the one Disney's using now where its thinner and has an extra dvd holder inside.)

The older 2-disc CE sets came in those double alpha cases or whatever they're called (the type the R1 releases of Snow White and Tarzan came in) because the swinging-arm amaray wasn't the norm yet (when was the 2-disc set released anyway? was it 2000??). My Sound of Music CE came in it too (a grey one). They're so big and cluttering and I'm glad the thinner 2-disc cases are now the norm. XD
Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.

I agree! Plus, the thinner 2-disc cases are easier to replace if they get broken and don't take up much room on the DVD shelves!

The cover I saw in a trailer in a Blokker (a store) looks like this, but I think it was better... Maby this is an early version of the cover?

Actually, it was Dolby Digital 5.0! According to this French site, the new edition is going to be 5.1. I also believe they created new menus for the first disc, since the original edition's menus were montionless (the second disc had animated menus).

The BBFC have passed a writers DVD Audio Commentary. Now, I think the existing R1 commentary was mostly the director and producer. Could this be a second commentary track?

Either way, the original UK 2 disc released had no commentary, so its good to see it being carried over and/or supplemented on the new release.
